Iaintsorry Posted July 17 Posted July 17 She's just saying this to get yall to buy/stream. I'm sure she'll head straight back in the studio as soon as she's over this era 1

But this is sort of the best position to be in, where she has all the acclaim and more people than ever are listening to her music, but isn't popular enough where expectations are super high. It's a good space to be in. @OP She paved this road for herself and I honestly think she should stick to it. We don't have unreasonably high expectations for her eras because she's never been a true MPG, so we're here for both short experimental EP eras, random droplets, and long label-backed eras, it doesn't really matter. I'd love to see her try acting tho.
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Rihanna, Charli, Chappell, Cardi, are we in a crisis era of artists taking breaks/hiatuses after career & commercial peaks? no no no no learn from Mother Swift!
Iceland Posted July 17 Posted July 17 actually is clever she doesn't to face what Carly faced after emotion.
Kh-Loud Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Well at least she's going out at such a height most can only dream of! anyway, girl SHUT UP! Take a few years off and go have your baby - inspiration will come find you again eventually!
Rev8 Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Well she did talk about having children with her other half and thinking her career feels small so it's possible.. but I don't think she will stop making music as a whole maybe just a break
Junho_lover Posted July 17 Posted July 17 She says this often, and I think after Brat she'll keep going for a while.
Lyrical. Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Tired of all these pop girls complaining about fame and success 1
eyeroll Posted July 18 Posted July 18 I deeeeeeply want her to work with Sega Bodega next. I think he'd be a great producer to transition her from Brat while still helping her make something that pushes her creatively. If you're unfamiliar and want to discover some killer songs, listen to Um Um, Raising Hell, Romeo, I Need Nothing From You. He did a beautiful series on YouTube during the pandemic too
mrpartyrocker Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Not people taking things out of context, some really need to learn to READ! She never said it may be her last album!
bleuwaffle Posted July 18 Posted July 18 She lives and breathes music too much to give it up, especially now that all she's had to fight for is finally paying off commercially.

ALA Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Oh please. Knowing her I bet brat has made her want even more success.
