Why do you need to "like Lana as a person" to appreciate her music?

 

If I only allowed myself to enjoy music by artists who I agree with on every political or moral issue, I'd be listening to the sound of my own breathing and nothing else.

I did not say that, though? I recognized her music is widely acclaimed and loved.

For me to adore/stan/pay attention to an artist, there has to be more to them than just good music. Artists are also people that stand up for things y'know.

She's also a white girl from upstate New York with a rich dad. Her beliefs are bound to be imperfect. But the music hits so hard, we have to stan.
