We all know she's critically acclaimed and stuff but other than her being a Britney fan, I haven't heard anything of Lana as a person that makes me go: "Oh I like her". :toofunny2: If someone could enlighten me.

Lana is a beautiful person inside and out. You would know this if you paid attention.

I didn't mean it in a shady way btw. She's not really under my radar so that's why I asked.

Why do you need to "like Lana as a person" to appreciate her music?

If I only allowed myself to enjoy music by artists who I agree with on every political or moral issue, I'd be listening to the sound of my own breathing and nothing else. :nicole2:

I did not say that, though? I recognized her music is widely acclaimed and loved.

For me to adore/stan/pay attention to an artist, there has to be more to them than just good music. Artists are also people that stand up for things y'know.

Not me expecting to see a new post by Lana saying something Zionist but no it's just a brain rotted tweet from some chronically online 14 year old trapped in a 30 year old gay man's body :dies: I should've guessed.

Many things Lana believes recently, I don't agree with. Lana isn't my friend. She's a complete stranger. I love her music and her aesthetic and always have. Only enjoying things made by people you 100% agree with on everything would leave you miserable.

And y'all are out here shamelessly tossing money into the pockets of a Zionist multi-billionaire like Jeff Bezos so you can get your Amazon Prime Day air frier for 40% off, we all have our vices :)

Lana does stand for many things. One example is that she donated $350,000 of her poetry book proceeds to the Navajo Nations to help them gain access to clean water.

She's also a white girl from upstate New York with a rich dad. Her beliefs are bound to be imperfect. But the music hits so hard, we have to stan.

That's amazing! I wasn't taking a dig at her political views btw. I know those issues are very nuanced, as long as she's a good person that's enough.

I never knew about the incest. Lana...hmmmmm.

Are we surpised , Miss Americana is a cultural appropriater, a racist, a cop bunnie, and other problematic things.

I surprised no one acknowledges the song Lolita on her debut, especially when you put in context with the films.

Plz, were you not sentient between the years of 2012 and 2015?

Tweets and TikTok videos canceling her go viral regularly, it has no impact on her or her fanbase.

She always did strike me as an ignorant rich girl, not really shocked :coffee2:

keep dreaming, they tried and failed many times, she only keeps getting bigger :clap3:

Y'all can drag her all you want for many things and for being ignorant af in certain stuff. But this 'zionist!!1!' claim is out of place, like, it has absolutely zero receipts backing it up. She prioritizes her status and doesn't want to speak out because of that? Well, then drag her for that and leave the 'zionist' word for actual zionists

"incest" be fr she just kissed her sister for a picture, it's not like they were in a romantic relationship or ******* for christ sake :rip:

and she literally cancelled a show in israel years ago and said she would only go there when she could also make a show in palestine too.

Nope, I don't remember any backlash about that song in particular.

My guess is that that became a meme, so it's not like people really think she is a zionist, and more like a joke

Looks like Twitter has decided on who to hate next now that they got bored of dragging Katy
