Im honestly confused why she's not singin anymore. Is her voice damaged after that awful vocal injury from the late 2010s?
Maybe a lack of vocal training?

Her schedule opens up after Voltaire ends Aug 31st so if she doesn't release anything in Sept/Oct I think it's safe to say it'll be next year. 😭

I don't think it's the vocal injury, since it was before her last tour and she did well for the tour, with every single date being 100% live. I get she wants to avoid sounding at her 70% in live big TV shows with the hard dancing, but lipping to Acrostico and at Jimmy Fallon where she had nothing to lose was something else. Also she's ruthless for even pre-recording some 'live' interactions

The weird thing is that Shakira considers it perfectionism. Like, her vision of an ideal performance involves lip syncing and pre-recorded vocals.

Shak has a especial place in my heart but imagine paying thousands of dollars to see her lip sync to some recycled vocals from the 2020 Superbowl halftime + the VMA vanguard performance. And all of of this while being seated.

That's what I'm referring to being ruthless for pre-recording those interactions, it fakes that 'live' atmosphere, but since I know her voice for so long it's clear to me that it wasnt' live, also she was moving her mic everywhere and her voice volume didn't seem to be affected

Well to be fare she is dancing the hell out of it , its only natural to lipsync while dancing almost non stop but she should at least sing live the verses like Beyonce was doing for years
