Spicy Pisces Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Just stray away from sending messages with your songs and *redacted* collaborators, it's not that hard... "purposeful pop" was already hard to chew, and now this "female empowerment". Roar was huge and that's okay Katheryn. Move on.
Illuminati Posted July 13 Posted July 13 I would be so pressed if I was the nun that had to be sacrificed for this song 2

kataraqueen Posted July 13 Posted July 13 She's really come full-circle from the Christian rock band politics to now The whole teenage dream era seems so much less tongue-in-cheek now too lol

Bimbo Posted July 13 Posted July 13 I still can't believe she thought she was being smart by "commenting" on the WWII feminism cliche while saying absolutely nothing and ending up just following that same narrative 1

But working with Luke to release THIS level of crap? She needs to fire her entire team and even go to a new label. She has been completely out of touch since she hit 30 and neither her team nor her label knows what to do with her. She needs to hire a fresher and younger team and producers. The fact that she probably could have worked with Dan ***** who does Olivia's pop rock and brought out some nostalgic 2008 level Katy is just... but she goes back to Luke to give even more generic than generic 2010 club music

Witness was just an absolute mess, from Katy's bizarre behaviour, to the haircut, to the BB esque livestream that did a ton more damage than good, and then reigniting the Tay beef even further, causing a second wave of backlash. It was just 12 months of disaster after disaster. Bionic just sort of came and went and really the attention was on NMT
