vale9001 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 (edited) Fun thing knowing Taylor (as it was supposed to be the announced Lover tour after the Rep tour) for the next tour she will probably make something very different from a grand scale stadium show, would only feel "less eventful and already seen" than what was a 20 years greatest hits tour. So not a stadium tour Edited July 11 by vale9001

But I'm genuinely curious what race/ethnicity behind your screen is emboldening you enough to make a post like this. OT: About time they get a venue that can host big-sized stadium shows and events if they wanna compete with other countries in that region. Edited July 11 by Mandalore 9

Wait maybe I got it wrong but is this build like with tax money? They will never ever fill that stadium with anything else than Taylor. I didn't mean it as an attack on Taylor or her fans, but building a Stadium only for that seems a bit too much.

Coldplay tickets average $160 there for their last concert. How could that not be profitable? You realize that's probably more than The Eras in South America, right? 3 1

Taylor fanboy Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Philippines loves MUSIC. There's no skin color attached to it. 7
Polgg48 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 honestly love to see it happen with due time and rebuild their reputation for once. like, be serious please
burninredhot Posted July 11 Posted July 11 It's nice that they're doing this but Tay deserves some lashings for not touring there for more than a decade even after all the love they've shown her 3

I could see American and other western artists choosing the Philippines in the future to supplement Japan and Singapore. East Asia is a bit tricky for touring because the costs (you can't drive from one place to another) and politics and logistics (China, Taiwan, conservatism in Malaysia and Indonesia. I'm also pretty sure there is not a strong network of your logistics in places like India and Vietnam.)

Daddy Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Deranged but a stadium is a stadium. This is a nice marketing claim though, very Swift. 1 1
Achilles. Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Taylor getting dragged out of a semi-retirement to do a 13 show residency to celebrate the opening of this stadium in 2028. 2
UnusualBoy Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I mean it's not like the stadium will only be used for Taylor so not sure why people are complaining

SimpleKindofLife Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I understand the American obsession with her but I really can't comprehend how all these international countries can relate to her and her music. 1

Have you ever listened to OPM (Filipino music)? It's mostly very similar to her style. In addition, she's the EXACT unreachable beauty standard that part of the world obsesses over.
