jakeisphat Posted June 22 Posted June 22 (edited) Quote More "Unsolved Mysteries" is on the way from Netflix, with the streamer announcing this week that "Unsolved Mysteries" Volume 4″ will premiere on Wednesday, July 31. Netflix previews, "The iconic and gripping series returns, featuring more unexplained deaths, baffling disappearances, and bizarre paranormal activity." There are currently 21 episodes of the new series up for streaming on Netflix, with the episodes covering everything from murders to disappearances, hauntings, and UFO sightings. Unsolved Mysteries is from the creators of the original docuseries, Cosgrove/Meurer Productions, and 21 Laps Entertainment, the producers of Stranger Things. "Someone, somewhere, knows the truth." That core idea is the basis for "Unsolved Mysteries," which began haunting viewers in 1988 with the classic Robert Stack-hosted iteration. The original series lasted 11 years, defining a genre of true crime programming and inspiring generations of amateur sleuths worldwide. The show celebrated its 35th anniversary last year. https://bloody-disgusting.com/tv/3816907/unsolved-mysteries-volume-4-comes-to-netflix-in-july/ Edited October 6 by jakeisphat 1
Gossip_Boy Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Ah yes. I wish we would get new episodes more frequently. I assume this is pretty cheap to produce and there's tons of cases out there.
ICLDXU4HS Posted June 22 Posted June 22 More intentionally misrepresented cases to make them look like mysteries when they're not that I'm gonna eat up anyway! 1 1
UnusualBoy Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Hopefully this series has more episodes and they're more interesting, the last one was such a bore.
Uncatena Posted June 23 Posted June 23 less true crime, more supernatural and alien stuff pls the episode about the lights in the sky in Michigan genuinely freaked me out

Leptine Posted June 24 Posted June 24 True Crime episodes are fine but sometimes they pick some 'ordinary' cases let's say, while for a show like this they need to pick more creepy-weird cases imo.
commander Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I'll never get over the episode of the French family. Literally one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen in my life.
Gossip_Boy Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Supernatural cases are fine but I really do not enjoy the UFO ones at all. I always leave them as background noises when I do something else lol.

monologueNacafe Posted August 1 Posted August 1 It's kind of MEH so far. Jack the Ripper has been done to death, so there's no real reason to cover it. And this second episode is just ok so far.
Terylee Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) Body in the Basement Spoiler Why didn't the husband call the cops or at least one of Amanda's brothers to check on her? It's obvious that something happened and the first thing I would have done after that phone call. She could be alive. Edited August 3 by Terylee
Horizon Flame Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) The fifth episode, Mothman Revisited, is ridiculous. They even used footage from the original show for it. 4 more episodes are coming in October. I'd say that the severed head episode and the woman who was found murdered on the stage were good. The rest are blah. Some of these cases don't need a full hour. They should maybe do at least 2 cases for some of the episodes.
