This is probably closer to filming (if they're making casting announcements, than it means filming is getting ready to start at any moment), and they might still be in the pre-production process for the reboot, where they aren't close to filming yet.

 

They might also bring a bunch of new characters in the reboot that will be mains, and it depends on how they will formulate the reboot.

 

 

I don't see how someone in his mid-40s is attached to anything "Golden".
