Taylormania reached a climax leading up to the Superbowl and the new album announcement, then it paused as she went away for a while. This created an eye in the storm to allow other artists to release. Which artist made the best use of this time?

You need to stop with this narrative that Taylor's success is somehow interfering and hindering other artists releases, it's just not true, but that being said, i think ILLIT really benefited from the refrain of Taylormania in Asia.

There's no doubt she's popular with teens nowadays but most interactions I've had irl with her persona were the literal memes about her 'holding hands with her future album' shared by colleagues at work. Most adults do not care for this stuff like that, much less to wait for a break from her in order to pay attention to other artists. be for real.

The tone with which you address anyone or anything that you don't particularily enjoy here (and frankly have no real clue about because newsflash wherever the hell you're from isn't the center of the world!, heartbreaking I know, I know) - that reminds of those gays who early in childhood/adolescence identify with a caricatural "mean girl" character on a cartoon or tv show and basically move through life emulating them. Well I appreciate you took the time to study my posts and come up with this little characterization, but regardless of where I'm from I would assume by common sense that anywhere in the world people over the age of 21 do not limit their musical attention span depending on whether a middle aged woman writing high shool clichees is on a break or not.

 

If it's different where you are then that's rather worrying not gonna lie. I'll remain clueless in that case, thank you very much.
