  • You know, it's funny. I'll always pronounce the word "an-tee", and that's how I've always pronounced the song, but for some reason, in my head the Rihanna album is "an-tie"

  • i dont

    i pronounce it as smash-hero

Where does "An-Tie" even come from? Both UK and US English have it as AN-Tee with a slight variation in the ''an" part.

I pronounce it as "fraudulent lead single that stole the shine of the main banger of the album aka Lavender God"

An-tee. I can't think of a time in my life I've ever pronounced it differently.

Same - I feel like I've heard rih pronounce anti as an-tie, that's probably why

Gonna be honest, I thought it was An-Tie at first because that's what I called Rihanna's album.

Taylor - once again - taught me better! :gaycatina1:

An-tee, but yeah, I agree with everyone here that before Taylor, I thought it was An-tie

I sing it the correct way but call it An-Tie when referring to it because I like to be different.

i always pronounce the word as an-tea as im british and thats how we say it anyway

If there isn't already a drag performer called Anne Tea Hero, there should be.

:suburban:

she literally pronounces it one way and one way only in the song, dafuq

why would you even mention this out loud?

I do it correctly, but on the other hand I always tend to pronunce Houdini like How-Dini :jonnycat:

Normally I would say ant-tie hero" but ever since the song and muva's brainwashing I now pronounce it "antea-hero"

I say An-tee. And while the song is playing in the car and I'm singing along I sing it as "an-tie hero" just to twist it around. But I would never read Anti as "An-tie" :deadbanana4:

I used to do An-Tie but then i learned both pronunciations are accepted so now idgaf

:gayorkcat2:

But why people were always saying "an-tie Britney" when talking about Avril, Pink etc. if the pronounciation is so wrong?

I always thought you pronounce it like that but English is not my first language. So I was actually confused when I heard Taylor's song for the first time.
