Why doesn't Taylor try to evolve on stage?

Featured Replies

'Cause Swifties don't expect her to dance or belt a high note, they are there for her songs. Everything else like the production is just a bonus for them. Now can y'all please move along? :juanny:

Because she can't? She's not a good singer or a good dancer no matter how much she tries

Lesson #1 - The quality of the song you are singing is 30 times more important than anything else you do on stage.

but is the quality of the song in the room with us?....

show us what you and your fave can do then

My fave is Beyoncé so I don't have to explain or prove anything.

mediocrity was always the main part of her appeal, you can imagine yourself on that stage doing what she's doing and that's the point.

Are y'all expecting full 8 count Jo Jo Siwa choreo for a midtempo like Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? :rip:

Yeah the one that doesn't have an autoimmune disease and is local in English speaking countries & maybe Brazil ok

No but I would expect less overemoting and awkwardly waving her arms around like she's in a high-school production of Wicked. She just doesn't know how to carry herself onstage.

You are a Britney Spears fan negatively critiquing someone for waving their arms around

Yes

But has an injured leg.

We're talking about performance skills, so why are you bringing up "local" and "Brazil". Acting as if anybody cares about Selena other than her online drama antics.

But she does, she evolves into Valak after the song.

Lack of talent. She is lucky her daddy bought her a record contract and her fanbase has no discernible taste because she couldn't even win a high school talent contest. The fact that one of the least talented pop artist to ever exist has become so big, and so awarded just goes to show you the average person has no perception of quality.

What do you want her to do - evolve like a Pokemon?

We all know she is not the best live singer or dancer, but nonetheless, everyone who goes to her tour says afterward they had the time of their life, clearly she is doing her job VERY successfully of entertaining her audience? Is that not a talent? I have to admit myself I was quite impressed with her onstage charisma when I watched the Eras tour.

And you are unable to string together a coherent argument without deflecting to other people. How sad.

This and also that the music industry just rewards success rather than tallent because if it did actually care about who is the best at their job, then Miss Swift wouldnt even be invited to most award shows or even be celebrated in by anyone other than some random banks and flying agencies.

The performance in the OP is pretty great, actually. As it is the TTPD set, and the whole concert.

Try again.

Well in less than a month a show of 40k+ people could already scream back the words to 3 week old album tracks, can't say the same for the recent tour of a "91 metacritic album" :michael:

Love, she's making millions doing exactly what she's doing.

Why would she try to improve it?

This thread.

If you don't pay money to see her, why do you care?

I've dragged you up and down multiple threads because you say the same **** about her in every thread you enter

This.

It's not about doing Janet jackson level choreography on stage but she literally has no stage presence whatsoever. Moves very awkwardly, stiff body language, has no posture and is quite hunched, no sense of rhythm. She's very amateurish and it's painful to watch, epsecially for someone at her level.

I doubt she can work on it as this is something you either have or you don't. Especially at her age. If there was a great performer hidden underneath it would've come out by now, especially since she's been doing this for so long. Which makes all this humongous fame all the more perplexing. But that's the climate we live in nowadays. You get more recognition for being relatable and common instead of being extraordinary.
