Yeah this category is a kinda of a joke.

First of all cause the competition is 20 times weaker than any other category. 

 

Then you need a lot of effort to win an oscar as director, actor etc .. but if you are One of the 6 writers of a Song your label put on a bond movie you win an Oscar. Literally something you can make in some cases in a couple of hours

That's not possible, they enacted a new rule the year Beyonce's "Listen" was up for nomination that the songwriters can only be nominated if they contributed at least 33% to the writing of a song, so at most only 3 songwriters can be nominated for a song

She would probably have three if she had placed Masterpiece earlier in the closing credits.
