Her cover of Take Me Home, Country Roads was released by the end of last year as a glimpse of what to expect in the future.

 

In February she teased new country-inspired album "Lasso" by posting a preview of Henry, Come On. Even Jack Antonoff acknowledged it in one of his interviews.

Today Lana and Quavo teased their upcoming collab on IG which definitely doesn't fit Lasso's theme and sound.

 

Are we in Lana's droplet era? Is "Lasso" cancelled at this point? Did Lana change direction of her new album? Discuss.

 

 

Seems like it, we're getting BTD 2.0 instead now that she's skinny again 

It would be SO her to put a Quavo collab on the country album lol

 

Honestly though, Rock Candy Sweet turned into Chemtrails, she just changed the title. I think the album will have a bunch of sounds like she always does and we've seen from other artists that country and hip-hop can go together surprisingly well.

Miss Grant's no stranger to be a spontaneous crazy b**** who drastically changes the course of her albums, she's done it many times in the past, Tropico, Witchy LFL... Probably she realized a country album would alienate her fanbase and she came up with something more akin to her already stablished sound; that or this is just a random droplet 

She confirmed to the Analboards admin who she met in Quavo's club in Atlanta yesterday that Lasso is coming out
