Bubble Tea Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Love that she's still such a titan in Japan. God that country has good taste Hyped for this.
uusagii Posted May 14 Posted May 14 She needs to release a B-sides and rarities album with a remastered version of Alone as the lead single 1

Maybe if it were on the original edition and was released after Bite Me it'd get more recognition. Can't say the same about the other two LS feats in this tho. They belong in a trash can I love "I'm A Mess" as well and maybe she's including it to give it more exposure, but it's still weird seeing that song getting a spot on the track list and "Wish You Were Here" being left off.
The Man Who Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Why are some people saying that UMS was a bomb? Do you have access to different sales than I do? As every site I've seen shows that it has her 2nd highest album sales after Let Go. Or are you solely referring to streaming stats?

Some of the best songs of her career are b-sides or leftovers. 1

Raphy23 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 The way Bois Lie ruined an otherwise perfect tracklist. I will replace it with Hot. And i'll probably switch LIWYHM with an album track from UMS.

I hate how the label made the fans vote to either release the alternate version of WYWH or to make Smile a single. The dumb fans voted for Smile as a single. I would've rather have gotten this clean version of WYWH. We only have this in low quality :( But WYWH used to play on radio. I can't remember what it sounded like.

eyeroll Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I just gotta say how absolutely bizarre it is to see so many artists struggling to sell tickets or cancelling their tours. Meanwhile here's Avril performing to sold out crowds at large venues this far into her career. I wish she was releasing new music to capitalize off all this. 1 1

Which artists are struggling to sell out their tours? In the post-COVID entertainment boom, I don't see any live acts struggling. And what 'large venues'? Avril's performing in amphitheaters that only have 10K capacities. And Avril's ticket prices are dirt cheap compared to Billie's or Olivia's.

Can u just shut up and stop being so annoying? 10K venue in the US is a "just" for Avril Lavigne? Have you live under the rock all these years or what? Plus some venues are 15.000+. Do u expect her to sell out stadiums in the US or what? 1 1

She had to cancel her entire arena tour a couple of weeks ago - not just a concert or two, but the whole tour. JLo's peak was around the same time as Avril's, yet she has managed to stay more relevant celebrity-wise in the US recently, thanks to her Super Bowl performance, MTV Vanguard Award, movies, etc. Not to mention that she's a much better performer compared to Avril. These would be good reasons to buy her tickets and she failed. So, I think it's still a great accomplishment for Avril, who isn't known for being a strong performer and hasn't had good image management in North America in a while. Christina Aguilera also had some problems with her residency, but I think things are better for her now. Of course if we compare them to Olivia or Billie this would be unfair, but let's look at other legacy acts. Avril's in such a better place. 2

Phoenix, Seattle, Vegas etc. were all 15,000 venues? Jlo is a very recent example of someone cancelling their tour. I wonder why you were wrong about everything in your post? 2 2
