The album only charted on the top 10 for 7 weeks, that's like half of what Positions did.

 

The singles only got one week at #1 and both of them combined had less weeks on the top 10 than Vampire by Olivia Rodrigo. 
I mean, yes, and? is her least successful lead single EVER, charting for only 13 weeks.

I do agree that the US is still not completely feeling her (which may hurt her chances at the Grammys).

 

But her global audience is definitely here for her, more than in the Positions era. So yeah, she won the GP considering the album is the second biggest of the year on Spotify without massive support from the US.

Positions vs ES weeks in the top 10:

1st single: 17 weeks vs 3 weeks

2nd single: 10 weeks vs 6 weeks

Album: 18 weeks vs 6 weeks

 

Seems like she won the critics but I'm not sure about the GP

It's definitely bigger than Positions globally but I don't know if that's enough tho, her global numbers are very close to smaller artists like Benson Boone, Future and Metro Boomin and even SZA (whose album is over a year old)

All of these albums you mentioned are big successes and so is Eternal Sunshine.
A lot of them are seeing huge success for the first time, while Ariana is a force since 2014.

Since you keeping referencing the U.S Billboard charts you should know Saturn Returns Interlude doesn't count for Billboard. The 4 slightly deluxe tracks are combined with the original tracks since they are just alternative versions. Billboard doesn't consider them separate songs on the chart, the individual song units are combined. So 12 original tracks. Context matters which you seem to purposely omit.

GP =/= U.S album chart. I consider being the #2 album globally on the biggest streaming service in the world with 602 million monthly active users and 236 million paid subscribers two months post release to be a better indicator of the entire GP than cherry picking specific charts from individual countries that use different arbitrary formulas to calculate album units. It's also #4 on AM Global behind two versions of TTPD and Dua's album released 5 days ago.
 

I sure hope PF2 did more weeks in the top 10 considering it's a local album with 25 tracks and 5 official singles. I guarantee ES won't be free falling off the chart and barely doing 2M daily streams on Spotify 6 months after release. ES is stable in the top 20 at #12. They are still separate tracks whose streams are counted for the BB200  Who gives a **** if they're "combined?" (sans the interlude)

And you can't even argue the "Nicki had a million versions!!!" angle because Ariana had 7 covers, 7 variants, a slightly deluxe, etc

Only because the US chart is busier than never before. Literally 4 songs pulling >3M daily streams at the moment (while it only took 1.5M to top the charts any other months last year) 

 

WCBF is still neck to neck with the songs she competed against in the debut week (Too Sweet, end of beginning, Lose Control etc.)

Cowboy Carter came out 3 weeks after ES, and it's barely hanging on the top 10 in France (not that it's a shade to Queen Bey in any sense)

Why are we acting big artists aren't dropping albums left & right.  Only SZA, Morgan and Taylor have albums charting for a year on the top 10. 
yes and is a massive bomb but WCBF is much bigger than positions.
