The fact that the video on YouTube is close to 1M after 3 days... and it has surpassed the views for her released single on her official channel from 10 years ago. :rip:

I'm obsessed with this version. The music video is so pretty too!

I actually the production on the original is a lot better... perhaps that was what Timbaland brought to the the song, because had they kept it I think it would've tied more into what Tate has been doing with greedy.

So what? It doesn't sound as bad with Brit. Get over it. Your girl is the problem.

It's crazy. Brit's version is definitely of its time, but the qualiT of the production and her vocal that make it a solid 7 pop song, whereas Jojo's version sounds like a 4.5 demo from a session singer that only got recorded due to nepotism. :deadbanana2:

I won't lie, but this song could have been at least a solid one-hit wonder thing, like "Call Me Maybe".

The way this version is giving me early '10s Cancon realness in the best possible way! Would've been a cute pop radio hit back then I think.

The song itself is still basic as all fux, but this rando singer sells it a million times better than Jojo (like how she sings BETCH for emphasis, and messed around) and the narrative is better communicated in her video, plus Timbo's production flourishes on this version add a pleasant groove to it, unlike Siwa's which just sounds loud and garish :rip:

When I saw the pics of you with her, I felt the knife twist
Karma's @The Witch, and she's with you right now

Sure but record the song, record a video with TIMBALAND and then it gets scrapped??? There has to be more to the story :skull:

she flopped (and i think those timbaland credits are ghost)

i doubt miley and brit are mad this song is getting more attention from jono.

this sounds so much like something that would be uploaded on Youtube as 'Rihanna' or 'Lady Gaga feat. Rihanna' or something during the late 00s/early 10s , the Eva Simons print

They never released it though..they only officially released "Provocative" b/c the label thought it would do better.  I bet she feels vindicated now….a decade later :rip:

She said in her PageSix interview that Timbaland made some changes to it, so it was prob co-production credit.

Looks like she was in Interscope, and they had a ton of changes back then…she prob got lost in the shuffle of mergers, new exec leadership, etc.

I've been listening to this one quite a bit over the last couple days. I love the way the narrative comes through on this one.
