Reflektor Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) I've been waiting for this since I heard Shimmer in 2017? Such a great album of modernized 80s jams. One of my favorite genres of music are songs that sound like something Prince would have written for the end credits of a film and this album has that all the way through. The7thStranger Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) I'm intrigued by her. That album cover is stunning. Side note, I forgot how terrible Spotify's streaming quality is. Update: This is great. Update 2: I ordered the vinyl through Bandcamp. Edited April 5 by The7thStranger 2
Ewan Chaos Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Oh this is soooooooooooo good!!!! And I'm sure it'll grow on me too. It's kinda giving that Samantha Urbani album from last year... but I'm liking this one better on first listen 1
KatyPrismSpirit Posted April 5 Posted April 5 I listened to it. It's good. Quite an easy listen. Not crazy for her vocally or anything but solid. Best of 2024? Nah. And 5/5? Also no but still good
EdgeofTeeth Posted April 6 Posted April 6 the production is so detailed and complex, this girl is extremely talented 1
Uncatena Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I wonder how much Jai Paul produced on this because most of it sounds like him. still holding out hope for his proper debut LP one day... 2

Giving the album a second listen now, this is growing on me quite a lot, hearing some parts of the production I kinda missed earlier. 1
