xokuba Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Her recent songs are so disappointing. I don't mind her soft whisper talk-sing voice, but she needs to experiment more with the sound.

Rare wasn’t promoted well because of the pandemic… what will be the reason or excuse if she barely promotes this one? I can already imagine her saying due to hectic filming schedules she couldn’t fully promote the album. Sorry but she takes on so many things at once and does them well but needs to shift full focus onto one thing at a time so I understand what she means more about wanting to act fully. I love the girl but cmon. She was over the era one week after Rare's release. The pandemic started 3 months after. Rare wasn't promoted because she didn't wanted.
corotinho Posted March 5 Posted March 5 This is her biggest flop in solo career. Sad cause it's a nice funny song.
Selegend Posted March 5 Posted March 5 i love this song and MV even more the more i listen/watch it so that's it.

TERRIBLE when consumed alone in full, but amazing when mixed with other ingredients/artists. shes also good alone in low doses, give a full serving and its just terrible. Revelacion era >>>>>> SG3 so far
Me Against The Hits Posted March 5 Posted March 5 rumours on the street the next droplet is going to be a feature between xtina/camila

Revelacion era >>>>>> SG3 so far I don't think it's true. What happens is that when she is doing others artists's songs, she is doing something not expected by her audience. She is doing an unexpected sound. Calm Down is a afrobeat song. No one ever expected Selena to jump on an afrobeat, so the moment she did, GP was here for it. The song is really good. Taki Taki was also something people didn't expected from Selena. The same with We Don't Talk Anymore. Look at It Ain't Me, Wolves... those songs smashed and she didn't needed anyone to make it sound better. Those are songs that Selena did all the vocals. It's because people enjoyed Selena doing EDM songs. Even her solo attempts: Lose You To Love Me, Back To You, Hands to Myself... all of those are smashes/hits and she surprised the GP with the sound of them. When she comes with the basic pop (Single Soon, Love On...), GP will not jump on it. It's what they expected from her. She is not bringing anything new to the table. Those are songs that any female pop artist could sing, no matter if it's good or not. Look at Bad Liar and Fetish, her most alternative attempts... they didn't smash, but are her stanbase's faves. Selena just need to get out of her confort zone. No one is here for the basic pop Selena. We want her surprising us. Edited March 5 by corotinho 2

Imagine an album full of (I feel pretty, single soon, love on, boyfriend) I'm glad SG3 was lowkey scrapped bc I hate that "im so relatable!! im single!!" brand image she's trying to shove us. it felt so forced. if she's going for the basic pop commercial sound, it should b full of it ain't me, wolves, i want you to know, back to you.

Yes. I don't think people relate with this ''happy single lady'' brand. It's not commercial. She could try it, but not too hard, it feels fake. I'm also happy. The album is probably full of 2020/2021 songs. Probably hard dated for a 2024 release. I'm happy Interscope made her re-do it all. 1
PrismaticOwen Posted March 5 Posted March 5 where is the creativity/drive/experimentation she was giving in the droplets/scrapped album era? bad liar/fetish/wolves/back to you like she was serving this cotton candy basic pop music is NOT it and she can do so much better taylor/aaron should send her some folklore demos - give ha her critically acclaimed indie pop era 2

DeadInside Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I think this song is a bop but I wish it had her Revival era vocals.

TCorey Posted March 12 Posted March 12 This is a complete mess. Not even charting in any market in the Top 200.
