Beyoncé - 'COWBOY CARTER'

My hope that she used Carter as a play on words so that she can mix some Hip Hop with the Country as well.

Rodeo is incredibly boring and nowhere near as evocative. I'm glad she went this route.

Not loving the title, feels a bit unoriginal to me, but I am sure it will all come together when the album is out.

Why were people actually expecting it to be called act 2

Girl just watch how in 2 years time those same people will insist that act iii is called “act iii” just because it’s the placeholder title. They’ll never learn. :rip:

If it's a full length film,  can't see every single song from all three(?) albums having a dedicated visual though, maybe a couple minutes for each one with a lot of the tracks omitted.

Probably something like Jlos recent album

Certain other girlies could never use their married name in an album title… iykyk. :suburban:

Exactly. Not to mention the fact I can totally see the immense collective disappointment if it turns out to be a film with people bitching about her not including x song and z song or only using y song for thirty seconds, or some scenes/sets being too short.

She's apart of a literal family named The Carters. It includes her husband and children. She's going to always be referred to as Carter for that very fact alone. They're a unit.

It's time to move on and get over it

Girl I don't know what to tell you, but for me reducing yourself to your husband's surname twice is kinda crazy, especially when you're f*cking Beyoncé (and I don't care about the actual cowboy connection because even if it turns out to be real, no one is gonna think of that when her husband is right there).

Enjoy the title all you want but stop policing people who don't.

Title is definitely a choice but I'll tune in

Hate the album name it doesn't scream iconic like Renaissance.

But who cares we'll be streaming!

"Reducing", when it's been her surname for nearly 2 decades, as well as the surname of her children. These takes are so wild. :deadbanana2: Utter nonsense.

You know what's wild? Flaunting the surname of the man that has cheated on you. Different strokes for different people I guess :michael:

It's not just her husband's though. Her children are Carter's. They've built a family and empire.

I'm not policing anything, I'm expressing my opinion on something that's not changing. You're free to not get over it but, it has nothing to do with you. You aren't apart of their marriage and will be replied to about this opinion.

The internet is crazy! I don't like the man that much but I really don't understand those people tbh.

What are their married mothers called? Isn't that their husband’s name? What is Tina's Knowles, isn't that her ex-husband name which also happens to be her two daughters' name?

People push those weird untrue definition of feminism too far. Had Beyoncé not taken her husband’s name as maybe actresses or singers do, maybe there would be a point but she did. She changed her name. Her official name now is Carter.

It's almost as if it's her relationship and they have moved past their problems. Not the problems of random strangers on the internet who pretend they have any sort of actual insight into their relationship and judge them on it anyway. :michael:

Yes, different strokes for different people. This is Beyoncé's stroke, it's the way it is.

Lemonade is finally available on streaming maybe go finally listen to that and understand it's message.

Huh? It’s her surname. As well as her husband’s. And even if they ever divorced she’d still have every right to be called Mrs. Carter, the same way Tina Turner was Tina Turner until her death, and the same way Cheryl Cole calls herself Cheryl Cole. Because it’s no more the husband’s surname than it is the wife’s.

I mean COWBOY KNOWLES don’t really work :jonnycat: but also she’s made it to clear Jay-Z that if he fucks up again, she’s gonna break his damn kneecaps so I think he’s good now in that department
