crf13 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Horrible album title and cover ugh… How do you serve so hard on the single cover (Texas Hold ‘Em) and then give us this for the album cover???

You know damn well that a well-titled album is important for fans. This is a very badly titled album for her standarts, actually probably one of her worst titles

Rigalo Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Cowboy Carter is fine and quintessentially Beyonce lol the complaints are tired esp when ppl wanted “Rodeo” as the title 8

DeadInside Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Great title. I don't even care for country but THE is a bop and I'll be giving this a stream.

swissman Posted March 12 Posted March 12 What does the title Cowboy Carter tell us? One, that she's having fun. She's playing in the genre, and will likely have political messages but just like act i, it'll be a record about the joy of music. Rather than naming it a more obvious and formal and perhaps pretentious, "Rodeo", she's chosen something that is name based, and situates herself as a character in it. Thus two, it tells us that she's playing a bit with alter-ego. Like Sasha Fierce was for IASF, Yoncé was for ST, etc. It's about imagining herself as a different kind of artist and living that artistry. THIRD, it sounds cinematic, doesn't it? Like it could be a movie title and sounds more like one than an album that's ever been named. First came the renaissance, then comes Cowboy Carter... I love it. 2 4 1
Zerby Posted March 12 Posted March 12 I don't usually like when she uses Carter for things when Knowles is right there but werq.

Illuminati Posted March 12 Posted March 12 There go all the Renaissance tied theories I think I would have liked this title more if it was a standalone, otherwise I'd wish they had something in common Renaissance - My yeehaw era - Enlightenment there is still hope
99sandthe2000s Posted March 12 Posted March 12 100,00 watts of healing power I can't wait for the tracklist and features
truthteller Posted March 12 Posted March 12 id rather having it to be called BEY-HAW instead of another Mrs Carter situation 2
