10 seconds into Bodyguard and this is one of the best things she's ever done and that's saying something

Alligator Tears is another amazing piece of work from her

Do you like it more now?

I think Renaissance will remain better for me because the 16 songs on it hold a similar weight while still being peaks and valleys in the whole thing. That's HARD to achieve and I don't think that happens in Cowboy Carter.

Second listen of Spaghetti

Her BEST rapping by FAR

Absolutely no hesitation. Spaghetii is INSANE. The beat and her flow are CRAZY. A Busta Rhymes kinda flow omggg

Post Malone sounds ******* phenomenal

He sounds like someone else at the start but not sure who. But Bey made him serve perfection. Miley too but she was always going to bring it

We don't have to compare it to Renaissance, faguettes.

:biblio:

Jeez.

Already starting with the bullsh*t.

Sit with it a bit longer

I'm not sure we've ever heard her so personal before

Also (and most importantly) the track listing and sequencing is SO important and SO essential but also just SO intentional. She pieces it together just as it needed to be but when 80 minutes is too overwhelming you can absolutely pick your vibe / mood and roll with it. Renny obv did the same thing so I expected it but it's far more apparent here with the interludes too. It's a journey

I find it's a few too many interludes for me and I find some of them a bit jarring.

However, do agree that you can dip into different parts of the album depending on your vibe.

Neither MY ROSE nor especially SMOKE HOUR WILLIE NELSON were needed. :suburban:

this would have been on par with renny quality-wise if she had cut a lot of the filler from the first half. Nevertheless, the album is still an 8/8.5/10 for me, especially with that run from YA YA onwards

the flow on this album is soooooooo good. the songs really blend with each other, but each with its own personality. genius
