I think Renaissance will remain better for me because the 16 songs on it hold a similar weight while still being peaks and valleys in the whole thing. That's HARD to achieve and I don't think that happens in Cowboy Carter. 2

Doogle Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Post Malone sounds ******* phenomenal He sounds like someone else at the start but not sure who. But Bey made him serve perfection. Miley too but she was always going to bring it
Chris Posted March 28 Posted March 28 We don't have to compare it to Renaissance, faguettes. Jeez. Already starting with the bullsh*t. 1

Chris Posted March 28 Posted March 28 All of my favorite pop girlies releasing albums this year. I cannot keep up with all of this......
Doogle Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Also (and most importantly) the track listing and sequencing is SO important and SO essential but also just SO intentional. She pieces it together just as it needed to be but when 80 minutes is too overwhelming you can absolutely pick your vibe / mood and roll with it. Renny obv did the same thing so I expected it but it's far more apparent here with the interludes too. It's a journey

It's a journey I find it's a few too many interludes for me and I find some of them a bit jarring. However, do agree that you can dip into different parts of the album depending on your vibe.

WeFoundWill Posted March 28 Posted March 28 II HANDS II HEAVEN a snooze for me but it also kinda had me levitating
Machete Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Neither MY ROSE nor especially SMOKE HOUR WILLIE NELSON were needed.
arianasdua Posted March 28 Posted March 28 this would have been on par with renny quality-wise if she had cut a lot of the filler from the first half. Nevertheless, the album is still an 8/8.5/10 for me, especially with that run from YA YA onwards
hud Posted March 28 Posted March 28 the flow on this album is soooooooo good. the songs really blend with each other, but each with its own personality. genius
