jees Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Is sad she's representing trans girls as dumb blowup dolls 2
Love Galore Posted February 21 Posted February 21 THAT BIG BACK NASTY ORGE LOOKING @Bicassie NEEDS TO STAY AWAY FROM HER 1
Bencharmer Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Damn what happened to her?!? I feel like she now limits herself to that trash pop sound. I really hope she will reinvent herself after that. Edited February 21 by Bencharmer 2

Tangane Posted February 21 Posted February 21 This album is so unserious! I loved it! All the songs clicked with me right away because they're so simple and effective. I love that she's just having fun with this project, just like she did with the TOTL albums! I would have loved it more if more songs would go over the 2min mark though... But there's ground for c*nty DJ to remix those into pure club bangers! Seeing her on Sunday so I hope some of these songs are on the setlist! 1
Lady Claire Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Is UMG still blocking their artists on TikTok? I feel like some songs could’ve been viral there, like it happened with TMLAS, TWF and most recently with XXX
Dan Leonelli Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) It's a good album to play in the background but none of the songs hit me like TMLAS. Edited February 21 by Dan Leonelli
Dante Silva Posted February 24 Posted February 24 I’m enjoying this more than the original “**** Pop” EP, but at the same time (and I know some will laugh), I feel a little icky about the subject matter. If it truly is her own choice to sing songs about sucking d and giving ‘rim jobs’ or whatever, then fine. Only thing is I’m not entirely convinced it is/ or she wants to. I find it hard to believe any woman with self respect (trans or cis) would freely sing these lyrics without it being under the duress of a Svengali type male. Her dream since childhood is to have a mainstream pop career and to replicate the success of her idol Britney. Yet these lyrics are the total antithesis of this and are totally un-commercial/ never going to be played on commercial radio (I’m referring to the lyrics only, not the music). Beyond that, the same thought occurs to me now that originally occurred to me when listening to the original EP and that is, is she singing about acts she is actively carrying out in the recording studio on her writing/ production team in order to get anywhere in the industry or release anything at all? I’m programmed to believe the type of pop artist Kim visually represents, atypically prefers to sing empowering lyrics that promote confidence in their fan base. These lyrics however sound like someone who has low self esteem and has agreed to lyrically express graphic, base ideals of female objectification, ideals that are more commonly the domain of a certain type of straight male. 2

I totally get your point, but it's actually her own choice, according to her. She did the whole Slvt Pop project for 2 reasons: she wanted something liberating. She said she felt insecure with sex and with her own body at times, especially for being a trans woman, so she decided to create this super slvtty character to express everything she isn't, but wanted to be: a confident, oversexual woman. And the other reason is to empower other trans girls that somehow felt ashamed bc they became sex workers. Each project by her is a character, like TOTL which she's the spooky, killer girl. SP that she is this super slvtty girl. Problématique, the bratty eurogirl. FTB, which is all of her characters and sides into one. Era 1, which she plays the type of popstar she wanted to be one day (at that time), and so on. According to her, the next album will ditch all these characters and will mostly focus on who she actually is as a person, so i think that one will give a deeper insight of who she truly is and what she wants to express as an artist. 2 2

808dream Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I really hoped to find Girl In My Dreams in the tracklist. Considering the theme, guess it was never an option 😬

Lady Claire Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Apparently Kim told some fans after her last FTB concert that we can expect new music for the summer I wonder if she’s dropping the lead for her next studio album, however, i hoped she would give more love to SPM for some pride festivals. After all she only performed 2 songs from it
