Aristocrat Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Really enjoyed the lead. Not my fave song by her, but I like that she's going back to this style and am so excited to hear the rest.

It's mostly a guitar track, but the second half of the song also has a piano. I just love the chorus of that song, really cool. And the other one is Anime Eyes. Now that the track lenghts are out, I must confess mine has actually a different lenght (it's longer) so it's likely she changed something, but if the first half of it is the same, the intro is sonically similar to either Love is a Wild Thing or the Three Little Birds studio cover! What about the uptempos? Have you listened to any?

GoodThings Posted February 16 Posted February 16 My personal ranking of the 14 songs: 1. The Architect 2. Giver / Taker 3. Deeper Well 4. Too Good To Be True 5. Heaven Is 6. Nothing to be Scared Of 7. Sway 8. Anime Eyes 9. Cardinal 10. Dinner With Friends 11. Heart of the Woods 12. Jade Green 13. Lonely Millionaire 14. Moving Out Some tea I will spill about some tracks, read the spoiler if you dare! Spoiler Dinner With Friends is actually a pretty nostalgic song, both in lyrics and melody. Also, song is not actually about a dinner with friends, these are just the first lyrics she sings. Some songs interpolate each other with lyrics and/or meanings. Giver / Taker with Deeper Well and Lonely Millionaire with Heaven Is as two examples. The Architect is (imo) the most reflective song she's ever put out. 3 1

Does the entire album have that annoying processed vocal effect? Where would you rank this in her albums?

Where would you rank this in her albums? It's subjective, I personally really enjoyed both Golden Hour and Star Crossed. However this album, while being different than both, it's more similar to Golden Hour. As for that production, depends on the tracks. Some songs have a bit of those muffled vocals, some others don't.

When you hear the album, you'll get what I mean 1
Bartender Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Is there a song comparable to the genius of Space Cowboy?
MelCryBabyFan Posted February 23 Posted February 23 signed merch on her uk store only for the album for now at least
Gold Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I really like "Deeper Well" and waiting for this album. she's one of the only country singers I can hear a full album without falling asleep, this genre needs a shake sometimes to make it more interesting
Tom08 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I loved so much deeper well. The "wake and bake" line is so me haha it left me thinking a lot. she makes a very mature music. 2
AnonnonA Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 Too Good To Be True will supposedly be released as the promo single this Friday, according to a reliable insider on Pulse. Am assuming this will be the song she performs alongside Deeper Well on SNL. 2
