Weirdly, they're not stanning yes, and? as hard as they should be considering the genre. Yeah very unlucky with this week. It seems the public isn't resonating with the song even though there is clear demand for Ariana considering the first day debut numbers. Positions had great stability that I don't see for this song in the long run. As I mentioned before I don't think dance-pop is a genre that the public wants from Ariana. It was a jarring departure from what we have come to expect and want from her and it shows in the reception. Still hopeful the second single is going to perform much better since I doubt they will release another dance-pop song. 2

Maroonx Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 updated the first post with the top 10 and some other data... Lil Nas X Top 60
Gerardo Posted January 19 Posted January 19 positions did 58k if I remember right, 71k is crazy, maybe even bigger than the TUN singles

ALA Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Nervous for the US tbh, feel like the unit difference will be similarly tiny

I think he'll probably push around 1k vinyls and another 1-2k cds (around 2k overall)... they are quite expensive (12 quid for a vinyl singles and 5 quid for a cd single), and he doesn't rly have a big fanbase. https://store.noahkahan.com/ Edited January 19 by Maroonx

TUN did 65k and buwygib did 85k. Positions success is incredibly underrated on here though. It was a big hit. 71k is a huge result even if it was carried by sales.

I stan both and I know what I'm saying. It's obviously not gonna be as huge as AH, not even close, but this is not the disastrous bomb that some of you have been waiting for. It's time to move on from 2019. Lover is stomping TUN now and Taylor has scored several global hits and you're still that butthurt? oof 4 1

At this point, the hate has completely fried their brains I think people are just not impressed at the streaming numbers and these debuts are okay because she had more versions than a BTS' song. Anti-Hero is a smash hit with longevity, let's see how this song performs after this week, especially without 15 new versions helping it. 2 1
