UK Charts: Ariana's "yes... and?" is #2

Positions opened with 61k, so she's really just unlucky :rip:

Pos also became her longest-running #1 in the country tying TUN (6 weeks). Weirdly, they're not stanning yes, and? as hard as they should be considering the genre.

Yeah very unlucky with this week. It seems the public isn't resonating with the song even though there is clear demand for Ariana considering the first day debut numbers. Positions had great stability that I don't see for this song in the long run. As I mentioned before I don't think dance-pop is a genre that the public wants from Ariana. It was a jarring departure from what we have come to expect and want from her and it shows in the reception. Still hopeful the second single is going to perform much better since I doubt they will release another dance-pop song.

How are some 2019 PTSD'd Swifties giggling at these debuts when they're literally on par with Anti-Hero's so far.

At this point, the hate has completely fried their brains :rip:

yes, it was meant to be dispatched today, but in the last minute they dispatched it yesterday afternoon.

Not really… only 8 vinyls he sold this week according to the chart, so he won without any of that.

yes, they started dispatching yesterday... so only 8 were sent out yesterday. The rest will be counted for this upcoming week's chart.

So that’s what I’ve said :) 8 is not really “started yesterday”

Wonder how much he’ll sell this week.

Nervous for the US tbh, feel like the unit difference will be similarly tiny :rip:

Noah really stomped her on streaming :rip:

I think he'll probably push around 1k vinyls and another 1-2k cds (around 2k overall)...

they are quite expensive (12 quid for a vinyl singles and 5 quid for a cd single), and he doesn't rly have a big fanbase.

7 rings did a massive 126k which surpassed her previous biggest debut with Problem 113k. TUN did 65k and buwygib did 85k. Positions success is incredibly underrated on here though. It was a big hit. 71k is a huge result even if it was carried by sales.

Why did BMS debut so low? Did it release mid-week?

a mid boring folky song having the #1 , UK smells bad.

First Houdini and then Yes, and. They don't deserve tasteful pop.

You say it as if the other countries had better taste :rip:  the UK usually has the less-awful charts.

why lie?

anti hero was #1 on Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & the UK, made it to top 5 year-end list of those countries, and also did significantly better in Asia.

Netherlands
#2 yes, and?

#10 Anti-Hero (peaked at #9 the following week)

Italy
#19 yes, and? (massive album bomb above it)

#26 Anti-Hero

Germany
#8 yes, and?

#8 Anti-Hero (peaked at #7 later)

Finland
#20 yes, and?

#10 Anti-Hero

Ireland
#2 yes, and?

#1 Anti-Hero

Norway
#4 yes, and?

#3 Anti-Hero

Sweden

#6 yes, and?

#5 Anti-Hero

Australia

#2 yes, and?

#1 Anti-Hero

...........so its debuts were on par with Anti-Hero's so far, as I said. I stan both and I know what I'm saying. It's obviously not gonna be as huge as AH, not even close, but this is not the disastrous bomb that some of you have been waiting for.  It's time to move on from 2019. Lover is stomping TUN now and Taylor has scored several global hits and you're still that butthurt? oof :rip:

I think people are just not impressed at the streaming numbers and these debuts are okay because she had more versions than a BTS' song.  Anti-Hero is a smash hit with longevity, let's see how this song performs after this week, especially without 15 new versions helping it.
