I think it's quite funny how in this day, the 'stan world' writes off albums and singles very early on based off of initial numbers. But, they don't factor in the longevity of a record.

 

Doja is proof of that. They wrote her off after the first single and the first week of the album release and has been smashing since. Slowly but surely. It's almost as if in these days, the public catches up to these records months after

Wow. Doja Cat is clearly a self-reliant charting machine.  It took seeing these side-by-side to realize Doja's success is not really from guest features.

OK, but these are the POP charts, Nicki’s success spreads across Pop, Urban, Rhythmic, etc…so saying that someone “relies on features to be successful” based on 1 chart is inaccurate.

I mean, most of Nicki’s singles have been featuring other artists or where she is featured…she has few singles where she is the only artist, let alone that a majority of these Doja songs are pop songs….so it’s not a level comparison in various aspects
