Yayyy she's coming, I can confirm that the album is finished and the lead single is ready for release!

12 tracks (11 full songs and 1 interlude) and it's gonna be a mix of a few different genres, some pop, some R&B, some... well let's not spoil everything now

Her country era is COMING

ALN remains her best album

her new stuff sucks, very uninspired and bland, no cohesion whatsoever, cute title and concept tho

Are there any LTK style songs on the album or has she ditched that aesthetic and sound?

no, there is pop but it's in the vein of the second half of ALN, rather than the gay club bops

good luck deserved she's a bop and a half

Well first up maybe I should have mentioned this but I'm not an insider and I've never been but multiple of my friends are and this information comes from them, I can confirm that they are reliable and if they would like to they can come here and share their opinion but I can't speak on their behalf

As for my ranking on the released albums. since you asked so kindly I will tell you :fan: It's kind of hard to say but honestly I think her older more R&B music is the one that has aged the best so Ivy To Roses is #1 and then... hard to pick between HE and ALN but maybe HE for the nostalgia :jamming:

There are I think! Once again I haven't heard but my friends have and this info comes from them, mainly @ANG3Lstie so if he'd like to he can state his opinion and answer questions :date2: But yeah, there is 1 song (or more than 1 song, not sure?) written and produced by people from Max Martin's team that has a sound reminiscent of ALN album so she isn't finished with that sound yet!

Yes, she's back to her r&b roots, and the whole album has this mood including the title track (which is inspired by 2000s pop/r&b like TLC)

Lead single has Shygirl on it. Minimum makeup and minimalism are the concept for the era too. Idk if she'll get a hit, but we'll see :dancehall:

Her mom was also a one era wonder that followed her creative muse from day #1 instead of chasing hits once her time was up as a mainstream artist. I hope Mabel takes notes after ALN that she has a great example at home. The UK famously discards most girls past their debut

I like the pop songs on HE. I have mixed feelings about ITR. I fear I may not like this new album but we'll see

Not surprised by the reviews from people who've heard it. Mabel has never been a very strong artist, her best work i.e. her early stuff was just copying her sister's sound :rip: She's fine for the odd track here and there (thanks to her writing camps) but she can't deliver a cohesive project to save her life. Don't get me started on that stage presence...

I mean ALN was pretty cohesive. It’s about a night out from start to finish

Of course it’s extremely generic and the lyrics aren’t perfect but it’s pretty cute for what it is and i love that record, not a single skip for me

However, HE had higher highs. DCMU, ML and Boyfriend are her best songs

if she's not giving us another one of these then she can keep it
