It’s clear that Drake and Taylor, who were the previous artists of the decade, are still going strong. But who’s coming to supplant them? It’s already 2024 so will it just be another Drake / Taylor decade? That’s kind of underwhelming if so. I hope there’s another few artists who are able to break through and begin their own streak of domination. Morgan Wallen SZA Billie Eilish Olivia Rodrigo Dua Lipa. Monoculture is over and new gen won’t have superstars like we used to but they will still have big acts.
Starkboy Posted January 3 Posted January 3 How is Taylor still pulling these numbers while doing nothing And Morgan.

Michael196 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Lover better stomp Midnights and finally get a week in the top 5 after lingering in the bottom half of the top 10 for the past 8 months. Also… C’MON EVERMORE
Taylena Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Where's the inflation in units that streaming supposedly gives to albums, which some users argue makes it unfair to compare artists from before the streaming era? 5 1
JoJo Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Stick Season at #8? Noah Kahan is definitely going to be the breakout artist of 2024

Chartman Posted January 3 Posted January 3 2017/2018 -> „reputation will be/is a frontloaded album“ 2024 -> Reputation sits at #16, pushed down 5 spots by other Taylor albums. 6

As for a top 10 in the 2020s: Taylor and Drake are on lock both are still going extremely strong. Beyonce with huge touring, still having #1 hits and her cultural influence will be named once again Bad Bunny will be named as a streaming force and the biggest latin sensation BTS the #1 act from asia i don‘t see Seventeen taking their crown. Morgan Wallen for country music (US centric) If the second half of the decade is as dominant as the first for the Weeknd, he is in. The rest is open: SZA, Olivia, HER, Billie, Harry, Adele, Ed

Especially if Gaga's team made the right single choices and had a real commercial strategy
