SM saw how hard NMIXX and Baemon are flopping so they're scared to debut a NGG

Also, if they debut too close to aespa, there is the overshadowing effect.

This kinda happened to f(x). The group was not exactly a flop, but they were always overshadowed by SNSD, who only debuted 2 years earlier than f(x). (CSJH The Grace was also overshadowed by SNSD, since their debut was also only 2 years before SNSD). Close debuts are not always the best idea.

Red Velvet debuted 5 years after f(x), so they never had that issue. Same with aespa who debuted 6 years after Red Velvet. So SM stalling SMNGG debut until around 5 years after aespa is probably a better plan.

I was just trolling bestie :oh:

I know. YouTube and Spotify weren't even metrics use for success in 2007.:coffee2: But the KTRL lurkers might see this Fake News and take it as fact. ITNW also won them Rookie of the Month award and they debut with a Number 1 on Mcountdown. And back then they accounted 60% of the votes from digital sells. So it was being bought in real time. Ending up in the top 50 most downloaded singles in Korea that year, at number 41.

Maybe this is why they are pushing back the New GG. But I hope it's at least before next summer. Maybe spring time?

The rumored new date is Q1 2025.

It seems the line up is now finalized and there are rumors they already filmed their MV and debut contents (some during overseas shoots too) but we will have to see, since we know how SM loves to scrap things.

My thought is, if they are ready for debut, it would make sense for SM to reveal something before/during the 30th anniversary promotions.

After “Feel My Rhythm”, Red Velvet to comeback with a song with classical music sample - KBIZoom

K-POP] Red Velvet "Feel My Rhythm" Music Video - Pantip

rin ✧ on X: "red velvet's art history class – a thread art references in 'feel my rhythm' mv https://t.co/FhN0pwBk0n" / X

I hope SM will give their new GG ala Feel My Rhythm slash fantasy concepts with broadway type of vocals and classical music turned pop with R&B here and there

No Kpop acts has ever done this I think  since most ggs nowdays are just either your in your face girl crush or the overused youthful Y2K concepts  :flower:

Sweet tooth, I know how to nibble
Ice cream, no flake, lemon drizzle
Chocolate milkshake, just a little
Oreo, marshmallow with the sprinkles

I can do this all night
Back it up, back it up (Back it up)
Yeah, girl, you just my type
We should match it up, match it up
Girl, you're lit, there ain't no one finer
One in a milli', yeah, you light the fire
Before I change my mind
It's your birthday, make a wish

"We're the only girls running the game in heels" while all wearing flats, the same as Click Clack the sounds of our heals Clack while all wearing sneakers.

It's like Gugudan's "Boots" promo featuring the concept of bank teller shoes.

-gosh I hope it was Gugudan

The song (and their debut) was a success.  It was just a period that was buried by the phenomenon that was the Wondergirls.  History has shown that SNSD won, and Jessica made sure "Into The New World" would never be forgotten again with her debut in Gfriend, so it all worked out in the end.
