I could've guessed that. Still mystified at why I'm supposed to be so appalled about corporations keeping tabs on their competitors. These companies work in a localized, tight knit industry and word gets around.

I could've guessed that. Of course you could have correctly guessed that with special details from managers and staff working closely to you, just like she did. Then again, MOST of the hate she is getting is NOT for that moment. There are other things people dislike her (and the group) for. A lot of them unfair reasons imo. Part of the heat those groups/idols are getting steams from the big fight going between HYBE and ADOR. Made bigger now with the latest leaks. Just like the NJ girls are catching insults as well from some fans of the other HYBE groups.

Still some of the things they were keeping tabs on were useless and just shows they only wanted to gather negative reactions about other idols on whatever they could. All the aespa mentions are about things with a negative reaction. For example: why it was important to track reactions and make a summary about the way Karina was making and eating watermelon punch, Winter texting during a live stream and Giselle donating money to an animal rescue organization? 1

HYBE hired a bunch of analysts to track daily trends and happenings and give insight/opinions of the industry down to the nitty gritty ugly bits? not much of a mystery to me Kpop stans do this for free I think there's a perception that Kpop companies are above "stan mentality", or at least should give the impression that they are. HYBE definitely has done the worst job at covering its tracks though - they are the worst offenders probably 2

The thing is a bunch of HYBE company as a whole don't come from music industry but the gaming industry. It's common in the game industry to pick the flaws and best assets of a game to better your own games. But the thing is HYBE didn't apply it for their concept or training systems but to people themselves, used, picked and discarded people like objects and assets.
