Nope. That's what you think . I have a massive array of musical taste ranging from early pre-war 40s songs and songs by Judy Garland, Doris Day, etc. Up to the current, despite being a gen Z ranging from early to the current era. 

 

I also work as an activity coordinator in long term care and retirement homes so I know 60's musical trivias and such . Aside from Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn are some of the current old folks' faves and stans during their heydey.

This is so stupid, lol. Either recurrent rules need to be suspended for the holiday season or make songs that went recurrent during the holiday season be ineligible to re-enter afterwards. I think it's arbitrary and inconsistent that Calm Down (and I absolutely hate the song) wasn't allowed to re-enter the week after Drake wrecked the charts, but Snooze is allowed to re-enter after this one week break.

Nothing by "christmas music" counts for billboard, only uploads on the artists official channel.

All they said was that Brenda benefitted from being on the classics playlist while Mariah is not ( although Mariah is overall FAR more playlisted )

what you don't seem to understand is that Mariah is not on the Christmas Classics playlist... which is basically why Brenda is even ahead of LC and AIW -> both of which remain ahead globally. 

 

Billboard addressed the issue with Playlisting in regards to Brenda taking the #1 (and not Mariah)... go figure. Post it.

Yeah, Billboard's recurrency rules have been an arbitrary mess for a while now. A song that goes recurrent is allowed to re-enter essentially whenever Billboard feels like the vibes are right for it to do so  Something In The Orange by Zach Bryan would probably be at like 85 weeks on the Hot 100 by now if it hadn't gone recurrent during Travis Scott's album bomb and then not been allowed to re-enter despite having more than enough points to be in the Top 25
