Absolutely weird not to see Like a prayer, Like a Virgin, True Blue in there

TB is at 56 and LAV is at 76 I forgot to include them in the OP lol but I was really surprised LAP and TIC didn't make it :gaycat6:

Like a Virgin and True Blue are here, but Like a Virgin is at #76 which is so low :psyduck: I know this doesn't include sales and it's just based on Billboard's charts but it surprises me that according to this list, a diamond selling album is on par with Thank U Next, The Truth About Love, Good Girl Gone Bad, Pure Heroin, etc. Even looking at it's chart run, Like a Virgin was clearly bigger.

In comparison this is Good Girl Gone Bad's chartrun:

But according to Billboard, Good Girl Gone Bad is bigger than Like a Virgin

No hate to Rihanna by the way, it just shows that Billboard's method is flawed

I'm surprised LAP isn't here either since it's chart run is bigger than a lot of albums on the list, maybe it didn't spend enough weeks in the 50-100's to accumulate points, I don't know :psyduck: I guess by this point Madonna albums were selling quickly and she moved onto I'm Breathless and The Immaculate Collection just one year later, so record stores stopped ordering Like a Prayer. It's chart run is below.

Spoiler

11- 3-*1*-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-3-3-4-5-4-6-8-10-12-13-14-17-17-17-17-18-19-20-21-23-29-36-43-51-55-59-59-61-57-57-48-42-42-42-48-55-62-65-60-65-73-75-71-99-113-118-121-124-99-107-105-108-114-125-130-141-150-154-199-189-195-192-169-152-163-168-168-199-199

As for The Immaculate Collection, it was one of the albums affected by Billboard's recurrent rule which was if an album was 18 months old and below #100, it wasn't allowed to chart and was moved to the Catalog Albums Chart. That's why Michael Jackson's albums couldn't re-enter the chart in 2009 when he died, even though he would have had the #1 selling album that week. TIC spent 148 weeks on the BB200 and 290 weeks on the Catalog Chart, totaling to a combined 438 weeks on the Billboard Charts :rip: But those 290 weeks don't count due to Billboard's rule.

Not Taylor with 30% of the top ten.

Taylor and Mariah are the undisputed queens of the US.

Mariah Carey did it in all eras: physical, digital and streaming. <3 I applaud that.
