TalkThatRihanna Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Her album really won with longevity Feather will definitely be a cute hit in 2024 I think she’ll have even more success with SC2 now 1 1
Saintlor Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) How is SOS so close to Midnights? It really shows how social media hype doesn’t translate to the GP, because you would think Midnights would be miles upon miles ahead of SOS Edited December 28, 2023 by Saintlor 3 1 2
Katamari Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 12 songs vs 17 but okay good for her 8 minutes ago, TalkThatRihanna said: Her album really won with longevity Feather will definitely be a cute hit in 2024 I think she’ll have even more success with SC2 now isn’t this her fifth album 1
byzantium Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Watch Sabrina get to number 3 on this list in the long run. Sometimes quality does win.

Midnights has not really gotten anything since Karma back in the Spring so the fact that it is still ahead is impressive. 1

Midnights album tracks are still miles ahead of SOS album tracks so yes social media hype is correct. 7

Take away Good Days & I Hate U (the only tracks released prior to the album cycle) and SOS is at 7.803m, so about 1m less than Midnights, however take away the deluxe tracks from midnights (and “You’re Losing Me”) then SOS is about 900k ahead SOS (without Good Days & I Hate U) — 7,803,858 Midnights standard edition (originally 13 tracks only) — 6,936,492 1 1 2

It also still has an active hit single 3
Happylittlepunk Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 How is familia doing that well? I can’t stand that woman.

There's no point calculating the popularity and hype of an album solely based on current daily streams. SOS without I hate you and good days - 5.15B (20 tracks) Midnights 3 am edition - 7.63B (20 tracks) That's 2.5B ahead which SOS has a lot to catch up despite having more singles. SOS currently also has multiple songs on TTH while Taylor moved on to push cruel summer and is it over now instead of midnights since summer. Mdinights has been outstreaming SOS for months and the gap will only get bigger and this is just streams. It seems correct to me that midnights is still miles ahead of SOS. More than half is from Bam Bam alone 838m/1.526m (55%) 387k/607k daily streams (63%) If you include Don’t Go Yet (473m total, 139k daily) that’s nearly 90% of Familia streams 1.311b/1.526m (86%) 526k/607k (87%)

liquiddiamonds Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) It makes zero sense why stans want to remove things from an album to prove a fake point. It is part of the album. SZA's not a case of tackling songs to increase streams. Good Days and I Hate U were singles from the album, marketed as such since the beginning. Even Hit Different would have a right to the spot, because she debuted it as a single for it. It's not SZA's problem if Taylor dropped an album without a pre-release single. On the other hand SZA is still to drop the LANA deluxe for SOS and Taylor dropped Midnights 3 AM the same day. These are all valid... SOS and Midnights are about even in streams. We been knew for months. Pure sales is where Midnights shines brighter in numbers. It had an unprecedented force in both metrics. Not to take it from queen SZA, since SOS is doing terrific in the metric compared to most other girls too. At the end of the day that Grammy is between them lol OT: Sabrina built a nice momentum for herself. Whatever comes next will be bigger than anything she has ever dropped Edited December 28, 2023 by liquiddiamonds 2
SleepingTigers Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 And she will continue to grow bigger with the next album hopefully
