Anyways are those numbers even real and is that source credible

Not fully

it gives an overall idea, but Chartmasters are picky on what they recognize as real stats

so you can't really trust their calculated stats to compare artists.

Especially when they've been getting worse with the years (and their formula has many flaws as it is)

They have also showed a lot of bias towards artists..

I hope Republic finally updates all her plaques... It's time

54M? that’s less than any other MPG from that era :ohwow:

Okay I just read they have this weird feature methodology :rip: without it she’d be around 70M which sounds more realistic

Giving her the full numbers of a feature song would be extremely unfair because you would have to give it to the other artist(s) in the song too. If Nicki and Drake have a song with 1 Billion streams and you give the full credit to both of them you are counting 2 Billions, creating 1 Billion that doesn't exist. Splitting it in half is more realistic.

Oh wow, I didn't realize she was close to having a 10M album, and yet she's about to have two. That's honestly pretty impressive, and The Pinkprint's numbers are respectable too. Queen on the other hand...

People really just want to **** on Chartmasters because nothing about these numbers screams inflated or unrealistic :rip:

Pink Friday, Roman Reloaded, and The PinkPrint being higher than 4, BEYONCE, and Lemonade respectively is shocking. But it makes sense if you think about it. She had way more hits than Beyonce with those records.

It is very difficult to believe these numbers, if not impossible

Counting orphans or featuring will never make sense.

Please. How many songs do people listen to only to hear Nicki’s verse then press skip?

Roman Reloaded has not cracked 5M units in UK and US yet combined together. Where are they getting the rest of 5M? :rip:

Orphans being the second highest, but I thought ******* were HER sons?

The era had massive digital sales. "Starships" 8.3M. "Turn Me On" (it was on the deluxe version) 4.9M. "Pound the Alarm" 2.6M. "Va Va Voom" almost 2M. "Beez in the Trap" 1.2M. "High School", "Stupid Hoe", "Right By My Side" all between 500k-1M. "The Boys", "Freedom", "Roman Reloaded" between 250k-500k. It all adds up. And at the time certifications did not take into account digital sales. Whereas the ChartMasters formula combines all the elements of an era together to give a representation of how much $ was produced from recorded music.

Digital sales are all counted in US Billboard album units (not in UK units but can convert them myself and see the total).

they inflate more numbers to artists with big fanbase that can boost traffic to their website

Ngl I did expect bigger numbers but I guess her pure sales were strong enough. Either way still a massively successful career. Queen at 3M units iktr!
