Just imagine if instead of Houdini, she would’ve released one of her best unreleased songs as leads (cough cough “Crocodile Tears”). It would have done this in half the time or less

Also unrelated but I just realized "Umbrella" came out less than two years after "Pon de Replay" I feel like pop stars' careers move at a glacial pace now compared to the 2000s
