Is Taylor Swift in the same position in her career that Beyoncé was after the release of her self-titled album? It feels like after Midnights she has moved from from being a pop superstar and is now a living legend.

If the Grammys actually cared about giving AOTY to the best album Renaissance, BEYONCÉ and Lemonade would all be AOTYs.

I would say 2020 Taylor would be a better comparison.  They both released critically acclaimed albums long into their careers that solidified their legend status.  
 

2023 Taylor is just without parallel.  

I can see parallels in their career approach. Both work incredible hard to have visible success in every year of their career. They both know not to rest on past success and work, work, work.

 

Both had a great start. For Beyonce it was her time with DC in the 90s, for Taylor what she did in the country music industry in the 00s.

 

Beyonce from 2000-2010 (female artist of the decade) and Taylor 2010-2019 (female artist of the decade) developed superstar careers. Chart hits were part of the procedure to build up the status.

 

Beyonce round about 2012 and Taylor in 2019 learned that this is the point were artists are just superstars with hits or long lasting legends. Both had an unique approach away from hit singles to reach new groundbreaking heights and to last much longer.

No, this level is different. 

What y’all need to understand is that Beyoncé is more local than Taylor. Taylor is a global force - there were thousands of people far away in Singapore that queued overnight at post offices across the island for her tickets and she’s doing 6 stadium shows in that island. She’s on a whole other level there’s a big difference
