Those are some fantastic stats for a debut album. Very well-deserved since Lorde's debut still holds up well to this day. The only Lorde record that's a miss for me was her last one, but I didn't outright hate it. I walked away from Solar Power just going "meh."

I think Ribs did have a small viral moment on TikTok a few years back when TikTok wasn't so big. Ribs took 6+ years to make it to 100M Spotify streams and has been adding 100M each year, the last 100M taking about 9 months. For a while it was getting more daily streams than Royals or any of her other songs.

Maybe her team would make movements to put it on a crucial/iconic scene on some Netflix hit show to get viral ala Running Up That Hill. With that we'll have another Cruel Summer situation I fear

Incredible certifications, Ribs really should have been a single after Team/Tennis Court though it was wayyyyy ahead of its time. People will continue to discover and appreciate its greatness for years though which is more important than charts
