it was record store day last weekend with black friday, so people boughts loads of vinyls. thats why folklore has 28k vinyl sales and her other albums are also seeing increased pure sales. Guts by Olivia too.

I finally figured out what is next: Taylor will release the lead to TS 11 (maybe even the whole album) on Friday, April 12, 2024. Here’s why:

 

The last total solar eclipse in the US was August 21, 2017. Taylor released LWYMMD that following Friday.

Her pure sales for all albums are increasing due to Christmas present buying season( mostly vinyl) . 

 

Same thing is happening for Olivia with guts. 
 

More artists used to get a big benefit from it which was why Q4 was the busy time for releases  in the past. Taylor has released most of her albums in October or November to take advantage of the effect.  
 

But now Taylor , Olivia and Billie are some of the few artist who see a big benefit.  For example, Adele released 30 around this time because her team thought her album would move a lot of vinyls  as presents like 21 and 25 cds but it didn’t really pan out .
