To me this was the opposite. Came and went. It is currently getting 250k daily, below no less than 14 Gaga songs, all of whom are older. Including MR, Alejandro, LoveGame, Applause, Judas. The gay club part is probably very true though.

The whole Chromatica album has held up terribly, it was the most hyped up and anticipated thing going into 2020 but the first two singles were underwhelming, the production was boring and it ultimately ended up being totally overshadowed by After Hours and Future Nostalgia. Relistening to the record now, it seems like the foundations of a great album are there but it is missing the pop magic of her glory days.

SWU went viral more than a couple of times on South Asia thanks to viral talent show videos, the song was basically re-released as a single there almost topping Spotify in multiple countries. That is THE reason it is ahead of ROM.
