simmnfierzig Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 Christmas music is so trash. I will never understand it But are we getting like the full top 20 or something Christmas week 6

Or did all the stores just switch over their playlists after Halloween and skew the data? I truly would like to know. Girl 2

But yes, streaming has ruined everything. It's not just for the week. Artists like Drake, Taylor Swift, BTS, etc now have hundreds of top 100 "hits" - with more than 75% being there for a single week because of album bombs. It makes a mockery of the entire history of these charts. It was bad enough when Glee did this 15 years ago... 2
DemDam92 Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 With these low points right now : if your favs can’t beat old ass Xmas songs it’s ur favs fault sorry. it has never been easier for a big artist to get a #1 as it is now, the points are ridiculous low. 2
Wonderland Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 Brenda's promo schedule about to put all these younger pop girls to shame

jdanton2 Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 Brenda has been closing the gap the past few years on the year end chart . it was quite close in 2023. 2023 Mariah #55 Brenda #60 2022 Mariah #65 Brenda #80 2021 Mariah #78 Brenda #92 2020 Mariah #67

But the thing it's not just one week because Drake, Taylor, Bad Bunny release albums every year and some of them release multiple albums a year so between them combined they mess with the chart for more than 2 months combined which it's more than 5 weeks of Christmas music. And there is also Morgan, Zach Bryan, Travis, Olivia so this year alone we had more than 10 album bombs Taylor (2) Speak Now, 1989 Drake (2) For all the dogs, Scary Hours re-release Morgan Bad Bunny Zach Bryan (2) His album + random EP Travis Olivia 1 2
DemDam92 Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 Is Mariah going to have 4 or 5 weeks at #1 if everything goes well?

Green Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 I want 1 for Brenda and 4 for Mariah Mariah could tie One Sweet Day, Despacito and Last Night this year. Then Nas Maraj's wig will be snatched next year 1
pride4jc1222 Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 15 - 15 - 5 - 3 - 1 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 1 - 4 - 2 - 2 - 4 - 2 - 3 The narrative of PTTR being a weak, placeholder #1 is BS. It has 3 weeks at #1, and 5 weeks at #2, including the last 3 that were blocked by 3 different songs (Vampire, Slime You Out, and Cruel Summer), losing all of those by only a few points. PTTR was just a few points away from being a 6-week #1. 3 1

Conflicting schedules so can’t celebrate in December lol. Do it in November almost every year. Been blasting Christmas music all week.
Sergi91 Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 It’s getting ridiculous. Billboard needs to change their rules. 1 2
slw84 Posted November 26, 2023 Posted November 26, 2023 Brenda is really trying this year if Mariah gets 4 weeks and Brenda 1 week than I am ok with that but other than that I think most xmas songs might get a slight new peak but nothing too special.
