Thank you streaming era

She was huge in sales era too

Her albums always had longevity

But there are actually many big artists who didn't have much longevity in sales era but now have some longevity

Brand new albums with brand new covers, production, vocals, SONGS, promotional campaigns, singles, music videos, masters not being considered real albums :rip: I’ve seen it all

Biggest pure seller, biggest streaming artist, biggest touring act. Nothing else to add, pretty straightforward.

That will be her legacy: Numbers.

That's all she cares about.

I promise you, everyone cares and wants exactly that. Especially a musician, but I am sure you are aware. :celestial6:

lol if we put together all the sales of 90% of the artists in ur sign it would still not come close to Taylor. this too much albums excuse needs to die, especially when male artists who release as frequently are not doing Taylor's numbers.

call these re-recordings what you want. bottom line is that Taylor's still outselling everyone and it's not even close. other artists release just as many brand new albums and do more promo than her but still fall short.

Exactly, lmao. Each year the top spots of the BB200 are weaker. It was much easier to make big numbers 10 or, specially, 20 years ago. Streaming era bloats catalog albums but that doesn't even make a fraction of what artists are losing in pure sales.

Saying this about the biggest pure sales force is beyond hilarious :bibliahh:

Are we ever gonna be past the "but she releases music" excuse everytime she's reaching these historic heights? Especially in a year when she's only released re-recordings? :rip:

Like even if you remove those she still moved around 12M units. If I understood correctly that's still the record for the biggest year in the Soundscan era.

Ngl, it's really weird to belittle her accomplishments simply because she worked for it.

did they not get pressed on multiple vinyls and cds and then pushed millions of new sales?

Every album released gets this now.

Every single one of those 4 still sold more than what your fave’s biggest album sold in its peak year probably, so yeah.

Drake tried to push his base to buy 50 dollars vinyls and failed so miserably that he doesn’t even have any physical albums stocked anymore, so yeah.

you stuck on variants when I said nothing of variants. I said multiple vinyls and cds and then pushed millions of new sells. was is it not multiple vinyls and cds in stores and online that sold millions? hm.

I know you aren’t the typical braindamaged Taylor hater, but rather you’re genuinely asking this, so here’s the answer:

the physical CDs and vinyls sold at most 3M copies. Most of them are just preorders that gets shipped out in the first 4 months, then they’re done. Most of them come from streaming.

Go check out a HDD thread at any given week. She just charts 9 albums in the top 40 by doing 100M+ streams on Spotify daily.

Still 5 weeks left to reach 16 Million. Next year will be similar if she releases 2 albums.

Next year could be even more than 16M. Before the eras tour started, she was actually only doing 45M daily streams on Spotify, Now she’s almost never dipped below 100M for months.

Maybe Adele ? She's the only one that could do it

Not in her life time. Probably the Beatles or MJ did 10M+ before

I see we're back to the narrative that the re-recordings are new albums, which means Taylor's 14th album debuted with 1.6M units :clap3: An unparalleled career :clap3:

Taylor is dog crap so idgi, sales doesnt make you a good artist, she is not even a good singer lmao, her demography likes to buy her multiple records and  copies that's all.. so in what world she is better than tame impala or bjork ? She even doesnt care about her dead fans... Just keep buying another vinyl and cry about your imaginary ex and let my have my opinion...

OT: Anyways congrats :clap3:
