Janet Jackson while huge during her peak years never had more hits than Rihanna and Taylor Swift doesn't have more hits than Katy Perry. This chart will always be flawed considering its calculations which is why all-time sellers-type of lists are much more valid. 

Janet 28 legit chart hits. That’s more than Taylor, who is a chart monster but her numbers are super inflated by digital era prerelease drops and of course streaming era album bombs. I don’t know what keeps her above Rihanna, but I’m not complaining.

I'm curious where Destiny's Child would figure if this were not just female solo artists but female acts.

ALSO I am DELIGHTED to see Patti LaBelle on it, considering major pop success has always alluded her but for a few instances.

But odd that they've chosen to add her group work to her tally, as has been done for a couple others, but not everyone who has done work with a group. Maybe because it didn't represent a very significant boost?

last official update was in 2015 where they were #90 overall, between Linda Ronstadt and Celine, and since then only Adele managed to surpass them, which means they're at #28 and if we include all female groups, The Supremes and TLC are above DC which puts them at #30 overall female acts (both solo and all-female groups)

this was an update that includes points from this past May and she hasn't charted since, she has 6 extra entries where they should add to less than 10 points considering #30 here is 1.4

 

in the 2015 update she placed #55 overall, between P!NK & Gloria, she only has been surpassed by Ariana since then

they are #90 in overall Hot100 list by Billboard. Linda Ronstadt is #88 (#26 female). Celine Dion is #91 (#27 female). That means DC would be #27 in all female acts list. Maybe #28 if Celine accumulated some points since last Billboard’s update, but I doubt it.
