What the f did Hilary Duff think when she put a cheap remix version of Come Clean onto Most Wanted?

Some artists dont put some of their biggest hits on the album. Idk.. like what's the point?

When Xtina kept claiming it had been a decade on her 8th year of career and released hers.

not to defend Christina, but her debut came out in 1999 - which means KGB: A decade of hits was released exactly in the 10th year of her career

OT: some GHs should just be named "singles collection" - also GHs don't make any sense in the streaming era, just create a playlist and call it a day

Isn't it a decade?

1998: Reflection

1999: Genie In A Bottle

2000: Come On Over

2001: Falsas Esperanzas

2002: Dirty

2003: The Voice Within

2004: Car Wash

2005: -

2006: Ain't No Other Man

2007: Candyman

2008: Keeps Gettin' Better

Even if not counting 1998 or 2008, it's still 10 years...

OT: Design Of A Decade by Janet. Only one single from Janet. was on it, despite all of them being hits in the US.

It wasn't necessarily disappointing for me, but Britney putting out The Singles Collection two albums after Greatest Hits: My Prerogative felt redundant. One new song, no new photoshoot, tracklist sequenced chronologically with no real effort... It was all kinda pointless. The only cool thing about it was the boxset version with all the physical CD singles.

3 being a rerelease lead for Circus (or maybe an EP rerelease a la The Fame Monster, Cannibal) with either other new tracks or worldwide bonus tracks that were not available everywhere would've been much better and would've boosted the Circus era stats more :celestial5:

Madonna's GHV2 is super disappointing seeing as it's a follow up to the greatest GH of all time - The Immaculate Collection.

No new tracks. Boring name. Boring cover. Missing some great '90s singles. :biblio:

Any greatest hits album in the age of streaming would be stupid and disappointing. I get why Nicki did it because she’s always charts not arts but most artists have some “essentials” playlist on streaming lol.

First mistake would be having high expectations for a greatest hits  you’ve already heard the songs *****?

J.Lo's and Xtina's were terrible... they should've added all their singles (at that point in their careers they didn't even have a lot of singles).

Selena Gomez and Hilary's Most Wanted were unnecessary tbh. Hilary claims MW was not a GH, but a collection of songs she liked... still mehh

Just ignore that user his ability to count and use basic comprehension skills is loss. Just smile & nod. :heart2:….

ot: I don’t like any greatest hits era all pointless. Just release new material or B-sides.

There's no point for them rn but if your GH album  didn't have at least two new songs it was waste of time for everyone.

ddd the fact that it has four of her singles then they just filled out the rest of the compilation with album cuts. Like My Baby making a Best Of album is so ridiculous :skull:

Is there any sale listing of this being real besides this YouTube video? I know Disney had bought some right to play her music on the Channel and stuff but her first 2 albums were under Warner, and some of her 2018-2020 independent music is on here too ?

OT: most of my artists don't have the facilities to be doing greatest hits albums but Queen Radio by Nicki comes to mind. So redundant in this technology era and it's such a mess

Pretty sure she only released it to get out of her Hollywood Records contract. Yes, it didn't make sense, but it gave her the freedom to get over to Interscope and her music career since then has much better.

Jennifer Lopez - Dance Again, no doubt. It's missing too many singles.

Madonna - Celebration. There are so many audio errors on it, from Dress You Up's intro to Erotica's sub-par edit mid-song. They used random Immaculate Collection mixes with other mixes, and that Frankenstein remix of Express Yourself is atrocious. The new songs are generally not great, and there are too many missing hits (Causing a Commotion? Angel? I'll Remember?) to justify the inclusion of Hollywood or the full-length versions of Holiday and Hung Up. And it's really sloppy that Mr. Brainwash copy/pasted images from Google for his collages that still had watermarks on them, and they made the final booklet. An embarrassing release that could have been amazing.

Wow that’s crazy, didn’t that album have like six top 10 hits?

I guess at the same time that might be a good thing because the Janet. album was released not that long before, so Design of a Decade didn’t kill its catalog sales. Unlike The Immaculate Collection which killed Like a Prayer and I’m Breathless’s sales since it included LAP, Express Yourself, Cherish, and Vogue.
