Wait! No Drake song in the top 10? Really?

Amazon is way more influential for Christmas songs' streams than Spotify is. It all depends on how many raw streams it gets from Amazon.

Mariah probably goes #1 next week unless Jack increases again.

This prediction may very well change due to BBMAs boosts

The Billboard Music Awards performances won't have too much impact.

Morgan is performing a random non-single, he isn't performing Last Night or Thinkin' Bout You

Tate is the one that could go top 3 if the Greedy performance helps. Mariah is also performing but I don't think she will jump to #1 this week just because that performance (she will be #1 in 2 weeks either way)

Here’s the full list of 2023 Billboard Music Awards performers:

Mariah Carey

KAROL G

Tate McRae

NewJeans

Peso Pluma

Bebe Rexha & David Guetta

Stray Kids

Morgan Wallen

Unless it's Brenda's year

Last year Brenda's best chance was the last week of Mariah at #1 (Brenda was #1 on streaming songs that week)

We'll see what happens this year

I think it was the week before that.

Wait so then Drake is flopping? I was told that constant new releases guarantees success? What happened?

It's really confusing isn't it? :celestial5:

I feel like there's less Christmas songs charting high this year than the lasts?

It's a consumption chart. Of course they should.

There's Holiday 100 for a reason. They should stay there

There are also other genre charts. They still chart on the main consumption chart.

Is it just me or does that Jack Harlow song sound like "The Motto"?

But those songs don't chart for a specific time of the year clogging the charts i know you happy Mariah see chart success again for a few weeks every Christmas season though

There are already gradual recurrent rules - Mariah, for example, can only chart at place 25 or above to avoid clogging the charts.

Brenda's doing more this year since it's RATCT 65th anny. So yeah expect to see more from her in 2023-4. The new video was her 1st promo.

It’s not even Thanksgiving yet. :deadbanana:

I feel like last year we were already flooded with them by the first week of November  :deadbanana: Surely just an lmpression.

I think radio is where Christmas songs are lagging this year. The radio audience isn't as high this year, as AC stations changed over later this year, and some listeners are refusing to let go of songs like Cruel Summer.

when announced i'd feared drake would clog up the top 5 on the overall billboard chart again, but instead even on us spotify he has one song in the top 5 on the second day.

It's not you. He mixed at least two drake songs and made a new song. It worked. it's about to hit #1 soon.

I think it’s because the release was fumbled - its being released as an extension of FATD rather than a standalone EP like Scary Hours 1 & 2. Also feels a bit too soon even for drakes standards.

damn thats a tragic list of performances... The only decent performer is Tate. Fingers crossed 'greedy' gets a boast!!
