Well, many of the physical albums bought through the online store shipped yesterday but a lot of the Amazon shipments are still due on December 

 

He was obviously going to sell more than the rest of the BTS members, did anyone have any doubt?

 

Also, those 200k sales are not counting with the digital price reduction which barely updated 2 hours ago, he is allowed to fight

What other major releases are on the horizon? Could Taylor take it back next week, or is this album going to be cursed to just get stuck at like #2/#3 all Q4 long?

Chris Stapleton is dropping a new album tomorrow. No idea what numbers to expect from him though. Then next week there's a new LP "Rockstar" by Dolly Parton with numerous vinyl variants and 30 tracks on the album. And on December 1, famous Disney star Dove Cameron will drop her debut album. Again, no idea what to expect, but she's got 48M followers on Instagram. It could be a Tiktok favorite, but maybe not at debut.

none of those sound like #1 album 

But Taylor stream is also collapse and that monstrous pure sale debut week already taking all of the pure sales demand

 

anyway she doesnt need to do more, even if she doesnt gain any unit anymore, that debut week alone for a re-record is already insanely massive and bigger than most other girl studio album nowadays.

I don’t think Dolly has ever had a top ten album so I really hope she gets it 

 

I have ptsd from when Cher missed her potential first #1 with her ABBA cover album 

 

and then the war crime that was ABBA being blocked by a racist iirc

lack of chart success numbers won’t hurt their legacies however, fortunately

Dolly's "Blue Smoke" album debuted at #6 in 2014 actually! But yeah, it would cool to have another one. It's fun to see Dolly try some rock music this time. And strangely enough, her albums have been selling better in the UK than US in more recent times. Blue Smoke went Platinum in the UK.

 

And yeah, I think it's a lesson for all of us fans that you don't always have to be at the top of the charts in order to build a lasting legacy in music. But I'd still say that there's something more fair about today's charts than in the past, because you see all these legendary acts reaching career highs over the past decade or so. Even Aretha Franklin reached one of her better Billboard 200 positions, #13, with her last studio album in 2014.

I'm 95% sure their company do that, not even by their fans. There's something extremely fishy about every chart achievement regarding BTS, I just don't see it can be done only by the fans.
