i think yall are going to hard on him

we have to remember that ultimately he is a foreign artist with limited english skills and still managed to foster a solid enough fan base in the anglosphere to where they are willing to mass buy his album. Even if lets say only 60 thousand people are bulk buying the 140-160k albums its still relatively impressive. Yes looking at his single streams youd expect him to be a universally known name (he isn't and a lot of the streams are clearly farm'd or just international fans) but it's still impressive. There are no asian artists doing these numbers in the anglosphere (unfortunately).

Yes, Jungkook is probably getting #2 on a highly competitive week but what is this one-sided beef some Swifties here have with an artist who is just debuting?

Miss Taylor is literally the biggest artist in the World, her achievements are unprecedented... So unnecessary

Well this is under the assumption that not a single artist will release between now and then, cuz a debut of 50k paired with the ones you mentioned would be enough to keep Midnights out of the top 10

no one is dumb enough to release on Christmas peak week, and no one big enough (other than Nicki, if even) is releasing before for all we know that could keep at 50kish by christmas week
