Nor record sales. It is labels who started saying my artist has sold 1 billion albums when it was always record  sales where they added albums with singles to make it look better for pr. Billboard ifpi do say  this artist has sold this many equivalent. By converting them with right weightage

Congrats about that I guess but still it gets counted with 1994 album! With that old classic song. Mariah the fourth best selling female artist of all time is a legend. Who denied? We never claimed rerecording to be brand new album! 

 

I hope Taylor keeps the value of her catalog intact like those rock bands. Instead of being seasonal sensation with a forgotten catalog 🥰

Eminem debuted in 1996 though. Whitney despite such small catalog have multiple smash songs. Mariah catalog outside her xmas material is decent at best.. So yes

Sure, but they've never compiled a list of the best-selling artists of all time based on album-equivalent units. Shouldn't be hard to grasp.

Mariah has more streams in 2023 than Whitney, Madonna or Céline. <3

I thot it should not be seen negatively, to release music. Here you claim, Whitney released less than Mariah. Is that good or bad?

The meltdowns in here  its the same 3 OTH who do literally nothing but fume at Taylor being successful. 

 

We all know comparisons between different recording eras can be messy. I mean you shouldn’t even really compare an album from 1980 to one from 2000 because album sales were very different. But at least Chartmasters has a consistent methodology that applies to all artists equally. Taylor has like 5-10 albums charting in every major music market, it’s not that crazy to believe that she is racking up units at a high speed.
