Congrats to her but how can they state this when they haven't updated Mariah's total in years (at least 2018)? Caution has sold 0 physical copy according to them. Her Orphan numbers don't even include Big Energy, etc. I know it wouldn't make that much of a difference but it's stupid to compare things that aren't even up to date.

Anyway, her numbers are incredible :clap3:

I think her streaming numbers are updated automatically. I don't how significant her post 2018 physical sales are

if she keeps on doing 100k daily units from streaming she will easily surpass celine by like mid 2024 and maybe even earlier cause rep tv/debut tv/ts11 could be coming around that time too

surpassing madonna is honestly inevitable unless something crazy happens like her passing and having some crazy catalog revival the same way queen did back in 2018 when their movie was released

Even if it's just 100k or even less physical copies for Caution, it isn't fair to compare two things that aren't updated at the same time.

And yes, they update her streaming numbers automatically but new songs are not featured/included. Big Energy's numbers are decent, so it could have postponed Taylor's takeover by a week.

Once again, it's not a big deal but it just shows that we give too much credit to this website.

Brace for impact, Madonna.

EDIT: The coping and deflecting has begun.

You guys are so obsessed with her passing Madonna :deadbanana2: I don’t see this energy for any other female artist

Because she is best selling female artist of all time and it is fun to trace sales. Who else is competition to waste that energy?

It’s a waste of energy regardless. And I’m not gonna get into this again, take your ass back to the Taylor vs Madonna thread you dupe :priceless:

I know moderators here read selectively but why don't u get my ip traced idiot, instead of making false accusation! U r the one who puts their ass in every Taylor thread. And then cry when fans quote u. So buzz off.  U r also wasting ur useless energy on atrl. In charts section where we discuss best sellers. Common sense?

Well except Taylor is gaining like 200k album units a day right now (will obviously fade in the coming weeks), so at best that would've bought her like a day and a half.

I was silent reader for years . Since 2011. Joined here recently. Why don't u get it traced? Because u r not funny.  U won't get anything on me.

U came in chart thread about female artist surpassing someone and future prediction was made. Then you cry when you get bashed. And have problem with fans celebrating a milestone. Just bitter at this point. You have to stay bitter for years to come. Seethe idiot

Mmmm…… another person I need to add to my ‘campaign for their ban’ list. I knew this day would come! Every tongue that rises against Madonna shall fall. Shouldn’t have done it! :fan:

I echo the sentiment of most others. Legitimacy of CM aside, everyone knew Taylor would surpass Mariah in album units sooner rather than later.

The biggest artist of all time and she's only 33. Can't imagine what her stats will be in the future :WAP:

The fact that little monsters have to stick to Taylor because their fave wasn't able to hold a candle to Madonna will never not be funny to me. Poor it

Well Taylor is on top of the world in her 17th year right now and Mariah was just about to enter musical irrelevancy in her 17th year so that isn't very surprising.

In fact, ironically Mariah released E=MC² in her 18th career year in 2008 to a debut week of 463,000, which was later the same year surpassed by Taylor's Fearless debut of 592,000. Just this week, in her 17th career year, Taylor opened a re-recording to a career best opening of 1.5-1.6 million

Poor Mariah. They didn't count the number of times people play the Music Box CD for her 'units'.

But it is already factored. Thousand of streams for taylor account for one pure album sale. It evens out. And taylor fan can use tours too to make it even or even better

Do it... What else can u do rofl? U have no life and only coping to do.

Taylor is clearly the biggest female artist of all time already. She just needs time to accumulate her units. When it's all said and done no female artist will even be 100m units close of her :coffee2:

The tweet is about units (albums + singles, etc.) not only albums, so Big Energy could have made a difference. It's 3xP in the US (well, not all from the remix but anyway.) You and I both agree though, it wouldn't make a big difference, but MC's announcements are always weird to me because they don't update some artists often.
