Anti-Hero Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Make up stans are butthurt, but it's true yall bragging Rihanna on being a make up seller right? and dragging Taylor for releasing music? 1

I haven’t “dragged” anybody (do you know what “dragging” is?) so don’t get me confused with other Navy members you’ve interacted with in here. I’m a grown ass man and (sometimes) debating with stans about stats is a fun little pastime, not a constant.

byzantium Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Is this going to be the weekly Swiftie - Navy thread? 1
burninredhot Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Rihanna stans camping here when their retired and lazy fav wasn't even mentioned 1 8

There is a difference between certified units and sold units. A song could've hypothetically sold 1.1 million units in the UK but it would only be certified platinum for 600,000 because it's still 100,000 units away from the next threshold (multi-platinum certification). Taylor has 24 songs certified platinum or higher in the UK. That's 14.4 million units from certifications alone. Taking into account the hypothetical 500,000 units that are above the current level and just below the next level the figure goes up by another 12 million. Then you add to this all the songs stuck between gold and platinum, silver and gold, and being uncertified and being silver, and that 64 million units figure seems very logical. Simple math, really. 3
spiritboy Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 Congrats King Ed As a longtime Madonna stan, i don't mind Taylor outselling Madonna. It'll happen eventually but none of those will erase Madonna's achievements so why not celebrate both women instead of trying to pit them against each other? Congrats to Taylor. I would've felt the same if Rihanna or Beyoncé outsold The Queen. 1 1

Yayy Edit : I’d rather settle for a #7 peaking, risk taking album by my fave who didn’t give a **** if that could alienate her fanbase than to settle for a #1 album whom’s main subject is karma, cats and purring. I genuinely don’t know which “risk-taking album” is this in question? Can you name it, please? 1

It's hilarious that's what yall call a childish drag and not your fellow crying stans that ran in here saying "lol 1000 albums released". The hypocrisy is always fun too see with you though 3 3
alestevens Posted November 4, 2023 Posted November 4, 2023 This is not surprising. Taylor's UK certifications are growing at record rates (13M+ since January). She's growing so fast that it's hard for certifications to catch up and reflect her actual success. In no time she'll be #1 in song certifications 2

Madonna and Rihanna are still the #1 best selling female artists in the U.K overall (singles + albums in units & certifications) followed by Adele. Swift doesn’t even have an album/era that has outsold GGGB or LOUD in the UK, let alone The Immaculate Collection, 21 or 25. What is even the source for this post? Right? People will say and post anything and no one will ask any questions, there should be some back ground information to follow when op posted.
