A reminder that Taylor’s Carolina debuted with similar numbers around 2,000,000 WW and 800,000 USA, so anyone acting like Olivia flopped because an original song for a film didn’t do huge numbers is just completely disingenuous.

I’ve noticed this too, and it’s getting weird. So many ATRLers are insisting that Olivia is over and will be irrelevant soon just because GUTS isn’t as huge as SOUR. They really hold her to higher standards than her peers.

True, I'm a Swiftie but listens to Olivia casually. I feel like Olivia not doing as spectacular is due to timing (i.e., intense competition) and her songs not resonating with the GP (i.e., GUT's heavy punk rock sound which is a genre with zero demand right now)

The GP only recognizes Jennifer Lawrence's Hunger Games. This movie will be a major flop and have zero legs. The song is not that good to take a life of its own beyond the project. Barbie was the box office phenomenon of the year and many of its songs were major hits
