They are just listening and following what people want.

no i get that, but like. if they were going to push one of the vaults like it seemed like they were doing with "sl*t!", they should've at least committed for the first week. if they were gonna wait to see which single to go with, they could've just...not given "sl*t!" the special treatment and jumped ship so fast dfkjdf

I’m a bit confused how this is the vault track that’s taking off? Slvt is the buzziest & Say Don’t Go is the best by far. IION? is too word-salad-y, it sounds more like Midnights than 1989

"Slvt!" is too slow and Say Don't Go is too long. Is It Over Now? is the perfect choice for a single out of all the vaults. Now That We Don't Talk will be a cute mini TikTok hit

All the vault tracks sound more like Midnights than 1989.

SDG sounds more single worthy but this one is good too and it's already smashing so good riddance :clap3: Sl*t! wyd on the floor?

need a music video idk why we didn’t get one this time

She probably shot one and will just put the chosen single over the video.  Not like her videos have mirrored the song they were promoting for a long time now. :keir:

Agreed. It doesn't feel like a single to me. Love the song! But it'll likely be a quick no.1 and then forgotten.

Fun fact if this debuts at number 1 it’ll be the fourth time Taylor has debuted at #1 on the 100 and 200 the same week; and break her tie for most number debuts by a female with Ariana Grande who have 5 each currently.

Is It Smashing Now? :jonny5:

SDG is better but I don't mind this. At least it's not ****! or NTWDT

These are the two best vault songs. The 300 take-out coffees song can rot. :cm:

The fact Taylors next single is an unreleased song from an album she first released in 2014…following a single from an album released in 2019 :jonny6:

Like…this is historic. Everything that’s happened to her since Folklore lmao

Other than the fact the this is crazy, between these two amazing songs, it feels that her and her team are starting to wake up and capitalize on what the fans/gp likes and wants…

It's a great ******* song but I don't think it's going to perform very well on charts or radio, which is not necessarily a bad thing. not all of her singles need to be HUGE.

I just wished there was a music video, having two #1 hit singles back to back with no visuals attached to them kinda pisses me off. :gaycatx:

Random. It's the 4th best vault track.

Not that random. It’s going viral (along with NTWDT) and is by far the best performing track on streaming. It could be another legit hit for her (probably the only viable one from the vault) if they playlist it on Spotify.

Say Don't God kind of deserved. But this is the second best choice.

I have a hard time wrapping my head around it as a long-time stan, ngl :rip:

These things keep happening (CS #1, IION? probably #1) that are like something to come out of a stan fantasy fever dream :rip:

She can prolong this era and release Say Don’t Go and NTDWT as singles. Reputa TV can wait :ryan3:

To be fair, while the overall push so far has been minimal, all of the vault tracks have been getting pushed on both streaming and radio, **** is only getting the biggest out of all of them but not by a lot…

the audience LOVES an 80s influenced synth-driven taylor song produced by jack antonoff with a singalong chorus and an iconic bridge. "out of the woods" is arguably the 2nd most acclaimed 1989 song, "getaway car" is one of the most beloved and popular songs on rep, we've all seen what "cruel summer" did, and now "is it over now?" is following in their footsteps :lakitu:

Imagine if she released Clean instead :WAP: better than **** tho and it sounds like it could be an actual single from 2014

I desperately need her team to make this into an actual hit. I know she's more than proven her chops as a hitmaker, but we don't need another cardigan/ATW10 chart run (or god forbid a chart run resembling any of Drake's recent #1s) :ryan3:

This + it gives more tea on her break up with H*rry St*les :eli:

Yeah I obvi get why her team is pushing the most popular song but its performance is what’s confusing to me. Guess it just didn’t click with me (yet)?
