Hunter_13 Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Just bought IION and will focus my **** streamings to it instead
pride4jc1222 Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Bad Blood (TV) is looking like it will have the best longevity from 1989 (TV). It's definitely going to be highest charting track in Week 2.
KatyPrismSpirit Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) 1989 having 4 #1 singles would tie it with Rhythm Nation, Whitney, Mariah Carey and Forever Your Girl as the female album with the second most #1 hits, after Teenage Dream Edited October 29, 2023 by KatyPrismSpirit

fridayteenage Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 the best vault track did that. now it needs to get to the top
pride4jc1222 Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) Just be glad Taylor put Blank Space, instead of Sl(u)t on the original 1989. Sl(u)t being the 2nd single instead of BS would have killed all momentum. Edited October 29, 2023 by pride4jc1222
4Real Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Yesss rooting for Cruel Summer but IION would be ok too. Anything but Sl*t! pls.

In fact they don't even count #1's from re-releases (like Parte of Me from Teenage Dream Complete Confection) let alone a whole re-recorded album with 5 new songs

aesthetic bih Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 Okay, IION? grew on me after reading the explanation to the lyrics. Drag Ha(rry), Taylor! 2

The only thing Taylor could do is release a single version of Is It Over Now? on itunes if the gap with Cruel Summer is close. I doubt she had any idea that Is It Over Now? would be the most popular track from 1989 TV And the incentive would be to score her 11th #1 hit

It's almost like Scorpion with Drake already having the #1, with Nice for What. He could have pushed for the extra #1 with Nonstop, but allowed another song to go #1 naturally the following week. I can see that happening here. Any song that goes #1 from 1989 (TV) will be done naturally, and not with a push. I think Bad Blood (TV) is going to be the most popular track from 1989 (TV) before the week is said and done.
